Exactly. Why not get a Tesla? Why not take cheap flights on the weekends. I’ve gone faster in a 737.

The real issue is that I’m aware of only one MR vehicle with a stick, the 718, and that tranny can’t even come close to handling the torque in the Vette.

Yeah, honestly, losing the manual is a worthy concession.

Add to “No manual, no buy”....

I don’t even care anymore.  Mid-engine n/a V8 in the back and not 6 figures was the wishlist, and Santa delivered.

I got the tension in the strap
Train tracks getting scratched
Grille is matte black
Got the bumper black to match

I don’t see how the concept of irreversiblity of increasing entropy o the area of the solar panels vs the area of the car are relevant here.

Pretty sure the second law only applies to enclosed systems, which a car sitting around in the open isn’t.

Uhh...no. Just no.

To run a ≈300cuft AC, you need around 1kW — same as you’d get from a 120V outlet. By rule of thumb, that’s 4m² of ordinary solar panels in direct sunlight, which is very doable for a car of this size.

Hmm, I wonder if the panels would be enough to run the A/C when the car is parked. Where I live the interior bits degrade because the inside of the car is insanely hot while I am sitting in the office, even with a good tint job. And if I left something inside the car that can melt/cook, I’m in deep problems.

Screw you Patrick George for knowing my deepest fantasies. Get out of my head!

Could be a nice helper in a hot climate for when sitting stuck in traffic and could keep the AC running longer without the ICE kicking in.

You know, they really should be selling this under their Genesis brand. I saw the image and it took me a second to clock that it wasn’t an Aston. Throw on the wings:

Are we sure it’s not just a translation error for sunroof?

Somewhere out there in the vast miasma of the internet, Stef Schrader is plotting on how to procure and subsequently convert an Infiniti M into a Mitsu. I’m sure despite the appearance of only being a slapdash rebadge, there are some weirdly specific parts to this vehicle that would have to be imported.

I’ve never had that happen but I’ve heard and seen many folks do that on Hwy 62 in the Ca high desert. Pull over cuz the sand doesn’t look too bad and next thing you know you’re buried. That sugar sand is nasty.

Early ones had the 5.4L v8, which might be a relative value as most people will try to get the 6.2 with the HID headlamps

Not a fan of anyone who shreds tires.

Maybe she feels some shame and will learn from it. Maybe.
