New ideas for the next time I test drive an SUV...
God I'd buy that in a heartbeat
My friend has a saying about not arguing with some people. He says “don’t play chess with a pigeon”... If you do he says before you are done;
6.2L. Naturally aspirated. V8. Sitting behind the driver. Trying to wrap my head around that. The last NA mid-engined Ferrari was 4.5L. I guess the McLaren F1 is 6.1L and the Aventador is 6.5L, but those are both V12 supercars.
You’ve likely never owned a Corvette, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What’s this have to do with the C8?
Lots of people on here seem to love to shit on California, but I will say I’ve lived in a lot of places in the US and the world. And California offers a unique combination of comfort (weather), food, diversity, and vibrant but laid back culture that I cannot find anywhere else. It just feels great.
It’s not worth arguing with this guy. I won’t call him a troll because I think he believes his position is right and justified, but there’s no way anyone is changing his mind. It’s certainly tough moving out of an expensive area, and just moving out of the city rarely makes sense. I lived in the SF Bay Area for close…
Mike,
Natural beauty of the place aside, many live here for the culture (especially LGBTQ+) as it is the only place the feel accepted to be themselves. Many live here for the jobs, as CA has a massive economy that is rarely copied elsewhere in the entire US. Many live here because it is the only place we have called…

All valid points, but its perspective. I lived in NYC, DC and Boston previously. All with terrible traffic and lots of people (which also doesn’t really bother me) but they didn’t have half as nice weather or were half as nice to behold.
You’ve got the GM mindset down all right. An example from the 70s...
I didn’t realize the residents along the west coast having to step over needles and scat left on their porches were grays here...
In the streets around my work (Compton) they do this in rundown old bus-sized motorhomes. I’m guessing out of the half dozen setup here, only one runs. When it’s street sweeping day, the single functional one starts pushing the others in a long train of rust, disintegrating fiberglass, and clouds of dust that used to…
The Bay Area chuckles...
As someone who has been homeless for a period, I feel for these people. It’s so easy to look at them and judge them but put yourself in their shoes for a day and see the truth. I never wanted to be homeless. Life just ended up there (and mental illness).
RX300? You mean Tallboi Sportcross?
