When you think that for $8,200 you can have this or the entirety of David’s fleet, this starts to seem like a reasonable purchase. Don’t be fooled. $8,200 is way too much.

In New Zealand we drive barefoot a lot, especially over summer. Partly because it’s safer than driving in jandals (flip-flops to you lot), and partly because we just wear bare feet a lot. I’ve gone entire summers without ever wearing shoes, including shopping and going to the pub.

This must have been just before the bar breakdown. David and Brandon dropped off the truck and I could tell they were both running on fumes. David actually offered to let me take the Grail for a spin but I declined for two reasons.

I’d have been tempted to sell half my fleet to buy this thing.
I’ve said many times - what America needs is a modern Delta 88. Basic, no frills, durable, boring, roomy, simple and cheap, built and sold en-masse, and left to age on a LONG running platform. I hope Ford does this - bring us the next Panther platform! Go ahead and “OK Boomer” me (i’m GenX, but whatever) - it’s cool.…
