The E31 is one of BMW’s best styling efforts, in my humble opinion.

LOVE these Touring Sedans. I would love to find a good parts one to do a few upgrades to my 1988 Delta 88 coupe—a Touring Coupe, so to speak. :)
“Power Window—Tailgate” does not make “power windows” (plural) no matter how much you wish it so...sorry...
When these were new, I despised the way they looked. I vastly preferred (and still do) the Mark VII predecessor.
They ruined a nice, fairly original condition Javelin/AMX to make this...thing.
When I think of a teal colored car, it’s this one:
Go to the local O’Reilly store on a Sunday morning. Two people working. Store wasn’t busy, but they both were doing something. I needed some vacuum or fuel hose (can’t remember which), and I wanted it from their bulk supply, not the prepackaged stuff on the sales floor.
I’m 46, have been driving for 30 years, and I have never owned a new car. Usually I buy something that’s 9-10 years old and drive it for years or until the next one comes along. By that same token, most of the stuff I drive has been over 100k miles when I got it, with just a handful of exceptions.
I love this.
You might be surprised...pensioners who managed to buy a motor home for retirement purposes but who may not be able to afford a new set of tires because “those tires look new!”
I remember working on some of these when they were still new (I was a body shop worker at the time) and I thought they were pretty nice little cars. Love the styling, and the interiors were pleasant enough. I was always a fan of the dashboard in these, and I wouldn’t turn down a nice one as long as it’s one of the 3.3…
I’d buy it. It’s my favorite generation T-bird!
It died of that a LONG time ago...lol
Woe that I only have one star to give...
I’m amused to see that the KITT dash is basically just covering up the stock dash—I see the stock speedometer peeking out under one photo. I also see the steering wheel lock plate in the photos of the KITT steering wheel. GM did offer a plastic cover for that lock plate—owner ought to put one on to clean up the look.
These were cool...even if they were subpar automobiles...
I know, shame on me for thinking this, but...
To quote Bugs Bunny: “What a maroon!”
This is when thrift stores are your friend. Go when they’re having 50% off day and you can load up on stuff that you don’t really care if it’s dirty or not, then you can just throw them away once they’re damaged to the point that you’re ashamed to wear them any longer!
Wow..another Jeep panel with barn doors!
