When will conventions stop using ball pits as attractions? It’s time to stop.

The game is already available to play for pros, content creators, and journalists. Has been for a couple weeks. The embargo lifted a day or two ago so everything that’s going to be in the live game when it launches on Tuesday is now known.

If you like to tank I think you’ll probably like tanking in OW2. In both the beta and the old experimental card solo tank mode they tried a few years back, you feel like an absolute juggernaut.

Condoning a “friend’s” shitty behavior is the same as tacitly endorsing it. If someone doesn’t want to be judged for the company they keep, they should find better company.

Hey bro this path you’re on is a one way ticket to being alone and unhappy.

Well, The World Ends With You is just the English title. The Japanese title is Subarashiki kono Sekai, which means It’s a Wonderful World. The sequel is Shin Subarashiki kono Sekai or New It’s a Wonderful World.

Are those names really any different from “Cloud Strife”? Aerith and Barret are literally just Earth and Bullet rearranged. Sephiroth and Tifa came from Sefirot and Tiferet, not too different from Genesis and Angeal.

Octopath Traveler, too. Triangle Strategy was meant to follow the same naming theme. “Eight Paths to Travel” and “Three Angles of Strategy.”

Dead Zone is an absolute favorite of mine, and takes place during a really underutilized time period in the series where the characters are powerful but the fights are still really grounded and based in martial arts.

General concept is a “rewards track.”

OW’s business model was frankly not sustainable as a live service game. Certainly not one run by Activision. The amount of loot boxes and credits you earn just by playing the game is so high that there is little to no incentive for active players to spend money, and the game itself was often on sale for $20 or less.

OW2 was announced in November 2019, so it’s actually only been three years. The content drought has certainly felt like an eternity though. New maps and heroes every few months really kept OW1's community engaged, without that...

There’s not only one issue.

Except that’s absolutely not what the Overton window looks like in the US. American politics are inherently right leaning anyway, compare it to pretty much every other Western nation. Most of the democrats are neolibs that are pushing the same basic hyper-capitalist economic policies as the Republicans. Literally the

Yeah, that’s sort of my point. 26 years in and they’ve done 6 years worth of innovation and improvement.

Why does it seem like every supposed centrist just spouts the usual right wing talking points?

You know, the right wing is sure putting a lot of money and effort into dragging Joe Biden, given that he’s already halfway through with his term and likely won’t seek reelection in 2024.

GameFreak / The Pokemon Company’s handling of this franchise has been consistently “unimpressive” for about two decades now, which incidentally is about how behind the curve they are when it comes to game development.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Not to defend Activision, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the truth was that he did the design, or a version of it, while working at Activision and then submitted it again for this new game. I say that mainly because it’s hard for me to believe that Activision’s asset creation pipeline is

You would think that at this point more people would realize that corporations don’t give a fuck about the wellbeing of their employees or contractors and that abuse and mistreatment is as widespread in the games industry as it is in pretty much every other industry.
