I always thought that Cox played Matt on the Netflix series with a bit of wry, self-effacing humor, even at his darkest - which is what kept him from being painfully morose. It’s precisely why he’s so fabulous in the role, and it didn’t seem like too much of a stretch for him on She-Hulk.

Yep, they seem to be moving in the opposite direction. I’m intrigued.

And I would argue that your examples are both cherrypicking and oversimplifying the point.

That’s a fair criticism.

Star Trek wasn’t dark, because it was saying the future doesn’t have to be.

Nah, Raffi’s great, as is her relationship with Seven.

That was incredible.

I actually liked the first two seasons more, though I know I’m probably in the minority on that. Partly because there’s no authority figure keeping Michael in check anymore (like Lorca or Pike) and partly because they’ve overcorrected with the characters and relationships, and the result is that none of them have any

Warning: this is going to be long.

Yep.

I really liked season two.

I’d just like to voice my support for a potential spinoff of Picard starring Seven, Raffi, and Elnor on Seven’s brand-new starship, as I would totally watch the hell out of that.

Oh, I know Tilly’s still around. But she’s gone down to recurring instead of regular, and was gone most the back half of the season.

*sigh*

I mean, I’m excited - if only for the fact that the stars aren’t going to align on this thing a second time. Post-GoT means there’s interest, we have a studio willing to put money and promotion into it, we have Harriet McDougal’s blessing, and peripheral involvement from Brandon Sanderson. I know Judkins hasn’t earned

some sort of main plot during S2, which was almost entirely absent during S1

That header image...  Kotaku used the exact same one, and every time I look at it, I think Mario’s clutching his chest in pain from a heart attack.

“Harvey, what is the point of you?!”

As far as bit players go, I’d like to see that Glee instructor return and find out what he did to the next round of Glee club participants.
