I was kind of the opposite (not so sure now about now) when i was in school. I learned almost everything on the first run-through, whereas everyone else needed it hammered into their head for at least a week.

Well, Nintendo has had that Tuesday 9am slot for years now, so really Square should’ve realized there’d be an overlap in the first place. But I think they deserve props for not being stubborn and for doing what’s best for everyone.

Apple isn’t even a dedicated gaming company... And that’s why the companies you’ve listed have region-free consoles. The PS4 and Xbox One aren’t even dedicated gaming devices anymore. They’re more of entertainment hubs now and both Sony and MS are pushing that hard, more than Nintendo.

I’m not sure the hurdles he referenced were purely technological in nature. An OS update could probably end region-locking immediately.
