I’m thinking they might open it up over the next week after the initial test. I have it downloaded already and I do plan to play. I’m hoping my coworkers for the news site I work for are on around the same time too.

I doubt 4K will be the next big thing. When they all master 1080p and it becomes cheap to do 2 and 4k then yeah I can see that happening. Sony and MS can barely pump out 1080p with decent graphics.

Technical limitation of the ps4 has been reached in a little over a year. There will be no tricks this time around for Sony or MS because of the architecture. The way this is leading up is that it will be a short generation. Between 5-6 years for each console, which is respectable. No 10 year plan, face the realities…

I’m expecting 2017-2018 for announcements. PS4 and One have both hit their technical limit, it’s just going to go down hill from here and thus continue a cycle of console releases.
