We already have the International Race of Champions (IROC). I’d propose just using that. But, if, like in basketball, professionals are not allowed to partake, then I would seriously wonder what the point is. We already know that FIA Driver Rankings don’t work...

A ‘99 SC2 5-spd was my first car and a great first car, it was. I am definitely tempted to buy this thing for no reason other than nostalgia!

I’m not sure if it’s perfect, but my group and supervisor makes it pretty great. From just a work content perspective, I’ll admit that I enjoyed the veh dyn role at FCA more, though.
I know Keith. Almost went over to FP to work for him.

My big takeaway from reading these comments is that MOST OF THESE JOBS EXIST! You may not get the exact job you want straight away, but work in the industry for a while, keep pushing, and you can get there.
The reality is that so many of these highly-coveted jobs are held by people who are just doing a job. WE NEED

Hey! I’m in CIED.

I worked with a guy who had “VAG LUVR” on his GTI. He was a fan of VW/Audi Group products.
I was driving into work one day and heard this question being asked by the radio host. Someone called in and reported this guy’s plate!

Any flat-4.

This is exactly what I want.

Ha. That’s my buddy David doing all the driving in that video.

The 86 is the furthest thing from a luxury coupe, this side of an Ariel Atom. The amount of mass that would need to be added to make the car quiet and comfortable would be completely out of line with its purpose and would finally require that turbo powertrain just to keep up with the base 86. Also, there’s this other

Not Craigslist, but I bought an ‘88 Fiero GT on Bring-a-Trailer, “by mistake”.

Chrysler Pacifica with Stow-n-Go.

The worst thing I found when I was shopping TDI SportWagens was dealers, especially in the DC/VA region, advertised reasonable or enticing prices, only to then have $1000+ “doc fees”. One had an additional $1000 if you didn’t finance through them. Its ridiculous. MI caps the doc fee at $300 and other states should do

Its just like the Dream Cruise, except you can actually move!

And here I’m struggling to justify a 1 hr each way trip. If it wasn’t going to rain, I’d go on your behalf :)

It was good hanging out the last time. Seeing as some storms are supposed to come through around 7-8pm tonight, I’m going to pass this time. I’ll be likely to get wet enough during the Indy and IMSA races tomorrow at Belle Isle :)

Yeah, I haven’t deleted a car since then, though I’ve deleted primaries from a couple BMWs, keeping secondaries. I paid for it in the form of many tears shed while sitting at stoplights with the windows open =D

I recall falling in love with the RX-Evolv concept and, upon seeing the RX-8 at the Detroit Auto Show, I fell for that, as well. I ended up leasing one at the end of college (while working for the dealership) and did 2 years of driving schools in it and a bunch of autocross. It was an amazing car. It was incredibly

This is great, Jason! More of these automotive mysteries solved, please!
