I would say the SN95 Mustang GT. Barely ran a 15 second 1/4 mile if equipped with the 2.73 rear end gears. The brakes were super sketchy. The seats felt like half-inflated pool floats.

The Shelby Dakota carried on as a regular model after the front end restyle as well. I had a ‘91 with a 5.2 V8, 4X4, 6 bolt axles, regular cab and an 8' bed! It was topped out with power windows, power mirrors, and a cassette deck. As far as I know the S10 and Ranger never came with an 8' bed or a V8. Had the…
I didn’t get it, until I saw the attached video. It’s not really a RTT.
Sometimes even an average guy can land a supermodel for a wife but she’d eventually bankrupt him even though it would be fun along the way.
There is a whole mountain of nuance to this, but yes, part of parenting is forcing kids to do things they don’t want to do when you firmly believe it will benefit them in their development to becoming functional adults. Nearly every parent forces their kids to do something almost every day. Eating vegetables, putting…
I had a Cav. A long long time ago, I can still remember how that music used to make me...
“So Why Do We Still Do It?”
So, what you are saying is they should stay away from mountainous regions and tunnels. The train in Spain rides mainly on the plain?
And a long range EV makes you haul around 1000lbs of battery all the time that you will rarely use. TANSTAAFL.
So, we’ve had 5 different Jeep Vehicles (TJ, LJ, JKU, JLU and an XJ). The TJ had a little bit of death wobble but then had a nice run of trouble free Jeeps. Then a couple of months ago our 2018 JLU with 19k miles had sudden and violent death wobble driving on the highway on a trip. Worse than anything I ever…
Owning an old, unreliable Jeep is basically a requirement for mechanical engineering students in Michigan.
Here’s a 2012 X-Terra in northern Ohio for $15,000. It has right around 100,000 miles, but these are sturdy trucks and it’s not like a 10 mile commute will wear it out soon. You can get pretty much anywhere in Michigan with an X-Terra. It would make a great base for an overlanding rig too if you decide to give that a…
I’m glad I’m not the only one who went to go find this figure. this is a good bit lower than a your standard automobile, as tracked vehicles tend to be, and thankfully the incident presumably happened on snow. even with such low GP, the snowcat tracks I’ve seen are generally arrayed with a number of “blades”, which…
These two are the standouts to me because of all the combined factors. I learned in my Geo Tracker, which itself was terrific, but the clutch was like and on/off switch and the super super short wheelbase made it prone to bucking like crazy. My bronco 2 was decent as well, but that super long 1st gear made hill starts…
I’ve taught a LOT of people to drive stick, and I believe the best by far to be the Jeep Wrangler Tj. Plenty of torque, a long, forgiving clutch with good feedback, a low first gear, long, deliberate throws with a nice, re-affirming “click” into gear, they just make it very simple.
I’m currently replacing the quarter panels for my ‘65 Suburban. They don’t make quarter panels, so I decided (along with some people before me) to use bedsides from the same generation C10 short-box. The forums were filled with people saying how hard of a process it is because the bedside isn’t quite right.
I remember when these were just worthless curiosities. It wasn’t that long ago.
Its interesting how many of these are badge-engineered (or slightly tweaked) versions of a single vehicle.
