He mentioned truck as an option in his original request

BAT shows one that sold for a little over 30k

This has always been my arguement against these, it’s only slightly shorter than a 4runner (like 5 inches) but is much less convinent for rear passengers.  I’ve only riden in one but it seems to have much less visiability than a 4runner as well.  I do think they are cool, but not enough to pay more for one than a

Yeah, as others have pointed out, the specified ground pressure really doesn’t have much to do with the damage done to someone being crushed even with flat tracks, the blades would just make it even worse.

Failed to mention you can only cash out points for other things if your have the southwest credit card which does have an annual fee

I had an aunt who would deliberately book flights she knew would be full and then would be the first to volunteer to be bumped to get the free tickets.  She’d schedule for next day and then just go home and come back.  It was almost a game for her

I fly southwest a lot and their rewards program is pretty good. Basically you can buy any ticket with cash or points, no restrictions as long as a seat is available. You can also use points for other travelers, they are not restricted to the person that earned them.

According to the linked specs, and an online converter about 0.7 psi.

Nice price for me, I’ve considered on and off replacing my SN95 with V8 Charger, even in the before times this was about the going rate given the condition and miles.  Probably not a popular car with this audiance but I think it’s hard to argue the value here.

So any details on the cost effectivness or efficiency of this? I (like many I assume) like the idea, but it seems they are just using electricty to “create” fuel, how many miles per Kwh do you get with this method vs. a traditional EV?

I had to tell one of mine to put on pants, 21 degrees and falling, he comes out in shorts. I still haven’t figured out what the deal is with kids and coats, is not getting hypothermia something only “boomers” (anyone over 25) do?

Mine was actually a work trip, but right before Christmas in 2006, I was in Cheyanne Wy and was flying home on the morning of the Dec 20th. Huge snow storm hit and they cancelled the flight. Me and another guy rented a ford escape and drove to Denver hoping to catch a flight home before they were cancelled. It was a

This, or any off-road oriented vehicle with decent torque and a low first gear. Bonus points if you have front hubs you can leave unlocked, put it in low range and let the person get use to the clutch engagement in a scneario where it’s impossible to kill it.

When I read the headline, I thought it was a joke, then I read some comments and was confused, then I checked the market and now I’m baffled.

In some ways (assuming the engine re-build was properly done) this is an ideal candidate for building into an off-roader. It’s realtively cheap (for what it is) and most of the stuff that’s worn would be replaced/rebuilt anyway if you add a lift/gears/lockers.

my guess is that $7000 minus the cost of a rebuild is a greater than what a landcruiser with a blown engine is worth.

Seems like a good price assuming the engine rebuild was properly done. The lack of corrosion is a major selling point for something this age.

Once you get rid of the badge engineered and short/long versions of the same vehicle the list gets pretty short. We have a 4runner and I like it, but I wish there was more competition in the mid-size off-road segment.

I’m not sure you can expect 150k trouble free miles from this thing at this point. Sure if you bought it new maybe you could, but it’s already 25 years old and a lot of stuff will wear from age more than use. Camry’s are great basic transportation, but for this amount of money you’d be much better starting with

I can appreciate the basic transportion needs this vehicles fills, (my wife daily’s a 2012 camry), but you can get a much newer “appliance” for this price and even if it has more miles it will be less maintenace than something this age. ND
