when I’m in a larger vehicle or a tight area I like to pull past the spot then back and turn to line up before pulling in, makes it a lot easier to avoid the cars on the side

When I read the headline my mind immediately went to a list of tools, but after thinking about it I'm going with "space"
Once in my 92 wrangler, the gauge showed 1/4 tank, but it was dry. Worse is I didn’t realize the problem and spent hours trouble shooting and trying to figure out why it wouldn’t start.
I was thinking used parts but I have countless half empty containers of various fluids
presumably there would be some residual value left after 10 years, but yeah, RV’s really only make sense financially if you’re traveling full time in them or you want to vacation regularly at a place(s) where there aren’t hotels.
Agreed, for many people camping is the activity, but for others it’s a means to an end. Personally I’d rather sleep in my bed, but my house (or a hotel) isn’t always close to the things I enjoy doing. In these cases a camper is the next best option.
The website seems to suggest the primary purpose is storing heat and using it for other purposes the snow melt is kind of a side benefit. The idea of melting snow is intriguing but the amount of energy needed (and cost) would be staggering unless they have a source of low cost “waste energy” available, or can somehow…
I think it’s a cool car and probably a nice price but like the ford truck a few days ago I can remember when these were dirt cheap which makes it really hard to np at their current value. Just like the truck, I’d love to own one, but only if I was smart enough to buy it 15 - 20 years ago
I agree current P/E is not as relevant on a growth oriented company, but it does provide some insight in how much the company would have to grow to fit its current market cap. I have no idea what a proper future p/e ratio would be for tesla, nor their profit per car but some quick estimates indicate the would need to…
Sunday drives are great, I grew up on a farm and my dad called them ag tours, basically drive around to various farms and check on the crops. Now I'll take my kids out on a lot of Sunday afternoon and drive around the rural roads in our area great way to spend time together
I thought the same thing, but after a quick google search, I’m fairly sure this is it
Exactly, this really is no different than a battery or a hydrogen fuel cell just a different way to store energy. For it to be a viable carbon neutral method of storing energy the the input energy would need to be carbon neutral.
I’m dreading the day my washer and dryer need to be replaced. It took forever to figure out my fridge and it still yells (beeps) at me sometimes.
Carpet would be nicer I guess, but I get a strong “form follows function” utilitarian vibe with this thing hence the linear. I’d probably meet you halfway with a new vinyl flooring which would look appropriate, be easier to clean, and would be quieter than just a roll on linear
This guy seemed to cherry pick the components for the swap, which leads me to believe he likely knows what he’s doing. It still warrants an inspection, but I’m betting the work is pretty clean.
I’ve always thought that Jeep should make the renegade into a baby wrangler, make the doors removable, make the rear glass roll down into the tailgate, turn the back glass into removable panels, big sunroof.
The problem I’ve seen is even the experts can’t quantify the risks with any level of accuracy. I travel for work regularly 20-25 flights a year I’ve searched in vain for accurate information on the risks and generally find nothing other than don’t travel if you don’t have to. One study back in the summer put the risk…
Most e-mtb are in this price range. These may be a little pricey for what you are getting, but they aren’t far off
I test rode one this summer after months of searching for an analog bike, they are pretty amazing, almost pulled the trigger. My biggest hang up is they are technically not allowed on most of my local trails, even though I see them all the time. As someone closer to 60 than 20, I think they are reasonable…
Not a survival tool but since my truck got kicked out of the garage I added a 120 volt electric heater wired into the block heater plug. I can run it for a couple hours in the morning, doesn't make it toasty warm but gets it warm enough to melt off the frost pretty happy so far we'll see how it does when it gets…
