I’m sure this a great truck, but it’s a little disappointing they didn’t go with a plug-in hybrid setup and offer some all electric range and/or significant contribution from the battery and electric motor for short trips. While admittedly it’s not out yet, the wrangler 4xe would seem to offer 10x the battery capacity

I’ll confess, I got back into riding three years ago and never heard the term until today.  I’ve been treating my front gearset like transfer case on trails just sticking it in the lowest gear and doing all my shifting with the back.  After going down a rabbit hole reading I feel like someone who bought their first

In domestic services at least, the 240 volt circuits are just two 120 volt circuits running out of phase, the conductor to ground voltage (most likely way to get shocked) is only 120 same as regular circuits. The only way two shock yourself with the full 240 would be to grab both hot wires at the same time (of course

Interesting read, looking forward to more.  My son (13) is obsessed with planes.  For Christmas I got him a two hour lesson, he was in heaven, I was amazed how much the instructor let him do on his own.

A better comparison may be a tw200 similar price, layout and top speed, the tw has the advantage of being street legal though, any idea if this will be?

I kinda wish it was about 3/4 scale but not bad

It is priced appropriately compared to nice stock ones, the question in my mind is the modifications. As this car ages it will move into collector/survivor status at which point the mods will likely detract even more from its value.  I suppose that depends on if your buying it for fun now, or future value

I’ve had many, but the most recent was a broken bolt changing the thermostat in my mustang, ended up taking the entire top end of the engine apart and replacing the lower intake manifold because I couldn’t get the bolt out. Always use anti-seize

some times you just need something simple like an old 70's or 80's era truck, stripped down, hand crank windows, a radio and A/C, with scotch guard infused CLOTH seats..

For those prices, you could rent a plane, hire and instructor and spend a couple hours actually flying a plane. Emissions would still be there but it is infinitely more fun than staring out a window in a commercial aircraft

I dug into the e wrangler design after reading the comments from the article. The design is very interesting withthe electric motor is built into the ZF8HP transmission. I’ll be curious if more manufacturers that use the transmission offer an ev mode in the future. 20-30 miles isn’t much but would be enough for me
