It took me over an hour, half-a-dozen failed attempts on three different devices (as in, had tix in cart, went to pay and site/app crashed), and a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth, but I managed to get tix for the 10:15 Thursday night showing for me and my best friend’s family.

I gave up fighting the internet last night and just drove up to the theatre and waited in line. $65 later, I was a happy little Jawa.

I’ve been trying to convince people to go to the marathon with me. I’ve had one taker, which is more than I thought I’d get. :D

My son and I watched it this morning. He and his dad are so excited. I am going to get them tickets today for a weekend showing. I’m so happy for them to be able to share this experience.

Me, my boyfriend, and the friends we’re going with made a plan to be on standby basically from 7:30pm onward last night, which was a good plan b/c we got tickets for a Friday night showing RIGHT as they became available and got in before everything went to hell.

I buy a paper every day, to keep up with what’s going on in my local area, but all of my national and international news comes from the internet. If my local paper’s website was better designed I might forgo the physical paper but said website is a mess so I’ve not gotten to that point yet.

College newspapers still get read by people waiting for (or currently in) classes.
