I have not read the book. Which may or my not enhance my viewing experience. I know the author of the books works on the show a lot. Frankly, I work too much to read anything other than comic books right now. If there aren't pictures, I fall asleep 5 pages in lol, sad I know. I'd love to read it though.

I know a lot of people don’t like this show, I get that. But I love it. It’s depressing as fuck, which doesn’t help with my depression. But the performances, the subject matter, the small bits of hope, the realness of it just makes the show really powerful.
