Protip:

You're letting the trolls set the standard and the baseline of the argument. That's a mistake, and it demeans everyone in the conversation who is not a troll/ misogynist twit.

Firefly? What's that? Nathan who? Never heard of him

You really need to re-read the article. No one there, or in the song is asking or saying that women are more special. Asking for equality while at the same time acknowledging differences is not a demand for preferential treatment.

it's easier to spot weak prey and mob it to death with your thesauruses and ignorant name-calling.

Hey, don't let the concern trolling (and thats what it is) get you down. It's the usual self-justifying contingent here to prove that they're "nice guys" and that all women should be blamed because one of them was mean previously.

The second you demean someone by what they are, you are the bad guy, and deservedly so.

It's news - while you did pick up on it first on one section of the site, it doesn't necessarily follow that anyone else has to attribute your reporting of it.

Dude. You know he''s getting ready to do it for the fifth time.

Yeah, all the Japanese dialogue got dubbed (pretty badly) in the Asian release. Not sure why, but really robbed the movie of some easy storytelling impact.

That's a mighty fine strawman you've built up there, along with some lovely tone argument and patronising mansplaining cherries on top.

It gets better.

And like you said the article clearly states it happened to one woman.

People doing or believing something stupid is one thing. But an active and physical act of harassment? That deserves to be censured and nipped in the bud.

Not every woman who knows how to apply makeup is a totem for some guy's unresolved high school anxiety.

As the article clearly states, there was at least one.

So clearly a lot of the commentators here are not keen on reading the actual article, but are certainly willing to go off half-cocked on a single image from it.
