It is absolutely epic to attend in person. No question to me it’s the greatest motorsport event on Earth, and I’ve been around.

I went to a hillclimb event last year and brought my road bike along to ride the course for funsies. I hit 48 mph on the downhill return loop, and it was pretty scary. Only reason I didn’t break 50 is because I chickened out bit, didn’t go full tuck, and kept tapping the brakes. I’ve hit 45 mph on my mountain bike (on…
It really is a phenomenal piece of game design to be able to balance all the different vehicle types that feel SO different, AND the courses’ multiple routes simultaneously like that. It should be taught in game design schools.
MotorStorm Pacific Rift was just a stupendous game. Ever since it came out I wished that studio would make a new Jet Moto game.
It would be great if you covered literally any part of the Isle of Man besides the deaths. This is the first time it’s been on since 2019, it has live video coverage for the first time ever, some rule changes have happened, John McGuinness is back, Davey Todd is actively chasing his first win, and people are gunning…
I would have thought that most normal “particulate emissions” from tires would be left embedded in, or at least settled on the road surface and hence not really a problem.
Most of my vacations revolve around which racetrack I can spend a weekend at...
You can still stay with friends in a hotel room...
Yeah...People say they want 10 minute recharges available in as many places they can get gas without realizing this means that we now need to install 10-megawatt substations on every city block in the country.
I think $1400 each is only marginally more expensive than what it cost me and a friend to go to the USGP in 2012. A little surprising considering how expensive the tickets were in Miami.
I actually really like the idea as well, but it doesn’t get along well with what people think of as “ownership.” It’s not difficult to implement from a technical standpoint, but people wring their hands about “but I’ll get a shitty battery instead of my shiny new one I took care of!!!”
1. Matt Berry is cast.
Well, you did say it was irrational ;-P
I bought Borderlands 3 (on the Epic store) for all of $10 back in January. It was free last week. In the intervening time I got about 50 hours of entertainment out of it, so I wasn’t really annoyed at all...
My mom has a RX430, and it has less cargo space than my Jetta Sportwagen.
300 miles in 10 minutes is a much more reasonable request, but (going off Lucid’s specs for reference) is still asking for well over 500 Amps at 900 VDC. This requires over 1200 Amps at 480 VAC, which is the typical delivery voltage of 3-phase industrial power. This level of power delivery gets very expensive very…
“id even trade in my cars for other ev but there are no convertible ev, no wagon ev”
5 minutes to charge from 0 to 500 miles of range is insane and will not happen without, like, new physics, or directly tapping 12 kV transmission lines.
How are we supposed to produce goods without mining?
