TECHNICALLY you’ll be saving money on gas if you just buy a new vehicle whenever you run out of gas. You’ll just be spending a lot more on vehicles ;-)
I think they went full-CGI out of sheer habit. They forgot you can just rotoscope a face onto someone else’s in-camera performance. There’s plenty of actresses out there that could be the She-Hulk body double with very little effort.
I love the line “speed was a factor” because, yes, obviously speed was a factor. If no one was moving, then no one would have run into anything! You fundamentally can’t have collisions without velocities! It’s a phrase completely devoid of any true meaning beyond anti-speed propaganda.
Pulled over for changing gears? That’s a new one to me.
I take your point, and it’s not completely outlandish...however with strict requirements comes higher educational standards to meet those requirements, and re-testing to prevent complacency. I think it would measurably help, even if some people still drive unlicensed.
I like to use Germany as an example because they have unlimited speed roads and are *still* way safer than the US. Really messes with people who think lower speed limits is a solution.
the 21 year old drinking age is also dumb and bad.
Cops need to pull more people over for failing to signal, and for trying to merge onto the highway at 35 mph. This is why speed cameras are stupid.
Oh and highly punitive DUI laws too.
Right, because they have good transit infrastructure. But they have fewer deaths per km anyway.
That’s why I referenced the per-capita stat, but Germany also has way fewer deaths per vehicle AND vehicle mile traveled anyway.
Lots of countries have way fewer DUI deaths without installing breathalizers in every car.
The US has 300% more vehicle deaths per capita than Germany. How does Germany do that? Not with any of that BS you wrote about. They have strict licensing requirements and good transit infrastructure.
Hulk’s CGI I think works better because of his exaggerated form. It’s easier to accept imperfect CGI because you’re already suspending disbelief for the size & shape of the character.
“I hesitate to use the word trilogies anymore because Star Wars is much more about persistent storytelling,”
Does your org also require the two-inch margin? Because that honestly is a bit too much I think...
Touchscreens may be common and expected, but that doesn’t mean they’re good. I will always take off-screen physical controls over a touchscreen if I can get them. They’re used on phones and tablets as a *compromise* to enable more design freedom with form-factor, not because they’re a better interface.
