he didn’t think that someone’s personal action should “affect the place of business where they work at.”

Are you sure they’re aluminum and not mag-alloy?

I think he was shooting on film. Possibly expired. And overexposing.

Last year I drove an old Triumph Spitfire Care Racer, and a TR4 (I think), and good lord those were some awful transmissions.

Hell, more and more cars now don’t even have “bulbs” and have moved to non-serviceable LED arrays or lasers or whatever, forcing you to replace an entire $3000 assembly if your lights go out.

This week I saw a guy running outside, by himself, wearing a mask.

Apparently it’s on various NBC channels now. I should probably set my DVR up for that...

I just had my brake fluid flushed this weekend, I’ll handle it until you’re ready.

I’ve been saying for ages that speed limits should be in terms of kinetic energy rather than speed. If a 9,000 lb hummer is allowed to go 60 mph, I should be allowed to go *checks notes* 270 mph in my Elise.

Given that race cars and airplanes use yokes, there probably is some advantage to the design, at least in those use-cases. I can imagine it providing a firmer sense of control and/or awareness, possibly better ergonomics as well, as it can have molded grips and you always know where your hands are relative to the

If I know my German (which I don’t), I think it’s probably Oberemittelklassemitüberzogenemkreditvolkswagen

Didn’t the Phaeton fail because people couldn’t wrap their minds around a “luxury” Volkswagen? Has that perception changed?

There’s also “exhibition of speed” or “stunting” or any number of adjacent moving violations that could be issued.

Look, just give me a form-fitting ATX case I can stuff behind the dashboard and a touchscreen, I will put together the electronics and software I want for the infotainment.

How on Earth did a bicycle manage to incur $3700 in damage to the car?!

That’s what I get for skimming

Road Atlanta and VIR would also be good. Neither have any particularly “quaint” character at the track or the surrounding area that would be “ruined” by F1 coming to town, although their actual track layouts have a good “classic” feel. VIR is a little out of the way, but Road Atlanta is not far from a major hub

I think the “badness” of tracks really depends on what category you’re talking about. It’s hard to fault ovals for being ovals, because that’s exactly what they were called to be when built, even though they’re totally boring compared to Spa, for example. But there can certainly be good or bad ovals as well.

“Indianapolis (USA) and Nurburging (original track, Germany) rank as the two deadliest (7 and 5 deaths, respectively).”

I never understood why anyone would go to the expense of buying new if they weren’t going to spec out their car exactly how they want.
