It’s always astounding to me that places don’t keep enough plows on hand because it “doesn’t snow that much.” If you total up the economic costs of any mess like this, it’ll easily justify a large plow fleet to deal with it effectively, even if you only pull them out once every five years. There is no case where you

When it comes to safety systems, imperfect is definitely bad.

Well then it was a bad design. Who is making fail-unsafe emergency shutoffs?

This is actually the main reason I never really wanted a Gallardo or Huracan

“Fleet economy” is also totally meaningless when SUVs & trucks are exempt (but maybe that’s your point to begin with?).

Looks like Tyrone is back at work

Grand Prix is not actually not a very good movie.

Quick, submit it to Name of the Year!

four thousand images in a year sounds like a very small number. That’s a normal day at the track for me!

Phones generally take great images these days, but sometimes the tricks they use to get shallow depth of field become painfully obvious. Their controls are also not easy to use if you want to do anything beyond simple automatic shooting. And they’ll never be really good at sports shooting for a variety of reasons.

Well, when you only really want six photos, it doesn’t matter how many you take, you’ll end up with six photos to present. But the six out of seven thousand will be better than the six out of twelve.

If it’s intended to be an EV for the track, it’ll need all the airflow it can get for cooling.

13 mpg city with a 21 gallon tank is pretty much spot on what my DB9 does...

On the one hand I like the idea of buying features the original owner didn’t spring for instead of having to shop around for the exact configuration I want.

How would AWD hurt track performance?

My Volkswagen has wipers that park under/behind the cowl of the hood. Pretty much out of sight and out of the wind when not in use. I’m not sure what the problem is with that solution?

I always wonder why you’d even bother watching something that wasn’t at least a *little* weird. People that are turned off by “weird” seem very boring. Legion was *fascinating*

They barely gave it any time to attract viewers. They allowed an entire three weeks for people to watch it. One of those weeks was the Thanksgiving holiday where people are typically busy with other things. I haven’t even finished watching the series yet and I’m someone who was actually enjoying it.

God, Another Life was complete shite, wasn’t it? I don’t understand these decisions at all.

I was thinking this same thing as well. Why are men going around telling everyone they should be less nice? Is every interaction based on conflict? They want to be irritated by people all the time? That just sounds fucking exhausting.
