One time the lugs were so damn tight, I resorted to putting my hydraulic floor jack under the end of the tire iron to try to apply the necessary force. And apply force, it did! It began to lift the entire front end of the car, followed shortly by bending the tire iron.

Seems like opening the doors instead of the windows would be an even more obvious solution to the problem. Still holds quite securely as I observed this gentleman demonstrate this past weekend.

This is probably a publicity scheme, and it worked. You helped them get thousands more eyes on their ad than otherwise. They’ll probably end up selling it for $18k or something, way less than the ad listing, but way more than if they just listed it for the market price and let it languish in obscurity.

I have a friend who’s main questions about new cars these days are cybersecurity related. Any salesman who interacts with him without at least a Cisco certification is going to be utterly unprepared.

The problem is you’re not even allowed to do this kind of stuff on a race track. Aimless cocking about is strictly forbidden. There just isn’t any legal outlet for this kind of thing if you’re an average joe.
