“keep it under the limit” would be good advice if the limits were reasonably set.

They also don’t suit the housing situation (i.e. apartments) for a LOT of people. But that at least can be fixed...
“need” and “want” are very different things...
And teal! With stripes!
Well the series 1 Elise base model was 20s or 30s I think. But that was in 90's GBP. The series 2 111R a.k.a. Federal Elise was starting in the 60s, in 2004 USD. The series 2 111S might have been high 30s, so you might have a point, but then that one probably wasn’t much faster than a BRZ...
A car like an Elise won’t sell the kind of volume it needs to get below $40k, no matter who makes it. Normal folks just aren’t into that kind of thing.
Perhaps. The one I drove was a normal-sized one I think.
I’d really like a Seven also, but the footwell is very extremely compact. I don’t even have particularly wide feet and in normal shoes I was having to make concious effort to avoid the brake pedal while going for throttle. So I’ll probably end up with an Atom instead...
It is way too 50s British car design. Plus they are objectively very bad for handling at speed. Not something you want in this car...
Why can’t it have engines that you just turn off when it’s time for science?
It’s a good theory, but good luck trying to sell a car right now.
You know, I would have bet it cost more than $2.5 million to run a Grand Prix, so I’d expect them to come out ahead on the deal. Especially if Grosjean is a driver *rimshot*
Nah, the cycle fenders are better.
This is always my assumption when something is listed way over-market.
I’ve come to like black more as a car color of late. It’s less common than the other neutral colors, always plays well with the other colors on a car (red, amber, white/silver), and has a generally good look to it on a basic level.
White is a very practical color in that way, but interior color is way more important in that case.
I don’t refute any specific point you’ve made, but silver would be a way better color if 2 out of every 3 cars on the road wasn’t silver.
Give it an appropriately sized hydraulic system and/or motors, you can also use this to turn any pickup into a dump truck...
It’s true. I’ve got Skyline Drive about 50 miles away from me, but not sure how that jives with stay-at-home orders...
I mean you’re right, but....electric cars are still crap for track days. Which is, admittedly, a niche market itself within a niche market.
