To be fair, that is how throttle levers operate on boats and planes.

On the one hand, I’ve recently learned that a VW out of warranty can be very frustrating.

This is true and one of the reasons I liked Rogue One so much is that they actually bothered to reproduce some of this aesthetic on the pilots, soldiers, commanders, etc., thus making it feel like a historical war film at the same time as being about lasers and starfighters.

I was car shopping last month and a local dealer offered to sell me a new Buick Regal TourX for $24k. I really liked the car. I feel kind of guilty for not buying it, but I really wasn’t quite in “new car” financial territory.

Should’ve said “first gear is optional”

“Better cut the pizza into four slices, because I’m not hungry enough to eat six.” -Yogi Berra

I suppose it’s most helpful for you if I include the complete piece in the pitch?

How timely does it need to be? Like say I went to the Isle of Man TT two years ago for 9 days with photo creds, would you take a story about the experience that wasn’t just recapping the event?

“Driving With The Interior Dome Light On”

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was “genre”?

Where does one go to watch Dakar coverage these days?

So “AI” just means “simple image processing” now?

I have a pair of “TacGlasses” and they’re actually pretty good, but yeah the branding is real dumb.

I think WWIII jokes started right after WWII finished.

The problem is F&F eventually became its own self-parody. It was itself aware of this, wore the badge with pride, and did it well, with 100-millioon-dollar budgets.

When the Versa first came out, it had the claim to “fame” of being the cheapest new car in the U.S., for $9990. My roommate in college bought one (with a stick shift), and while it wasn’t “nice,” it was “a car.” It wasn’t a deathtrap, it wasn’t horrible, it would get you here to there. It was fine!

Well it’s not that simple really. I’m working as an “independent contractor” right now, but I have to go to the same place during the same core hours as the full-time people.

This song came on my iPod the first time I drove the Nurburgring in my Lotus, and it was pretty epic.
