Well, they’d build them above ground. Duh.

I have a very limited repertoire of movie references, so I had to look this one up...
Me: “Hello, Porsche marketing department? You need to see this comment from Give Me Tacos or Give Me Death on Jalopnik.”
I might buy a parts car from a tow yard, or a project. Not a late-model $18K car, no matter what the normal retail value is. Whatever the story is behind it getting abandoned, I don’t want to get involved.
Reluctant NP, because where will you find another as good? And as sdmikev points out, the ad price is now $21900. But WTF was the guy thinking with these wheels? The tires are too small and it looks like the wheels have too much negative offset. Extremely distracting!
I will never forgive Peeps for killing the lemonade Peeps. Though I could be somewhat mollified if they brought them back.
That depends on whether the springs and dampers actually improve the handling in any measurable way. The RX F-Sport suspension of a couple of generations ago didn’t do anything but make the ride worse. My wife owned a 2015 F-Sport followed by a 2019 standard RX...
Imma sign up as soon as my Subway franchise deal goes thru.
And you have to enter it at least twice - once to unlock the phone and once to use the authenticator. I seem to have to do it 3 times because I dunno why.
OMG, my comment got quoted by another commenter, whose comment was used in the slide show! I feel so validated! It’s the line about sucking donkey balls in the last slide, btw.
This is an old data point, but when we moved from Palmetto FL to White Plains NY in 2015, our insurance dropped about $600/yr on two cars, iirc.
I don’t care where the shifter is, but, column, console or dash, it should be a lever with P at the forward or upper position, then R, then N, then the main forward driving selection, then whatever you want. I suppose I would accept pushbuttons in the same arrangement, but this combination of levers, knobs and buttons…
I’m not entirely opposed to these Eldorados, nor completely against convertible conversions, but no matter how old I get, I will never be enough of a geezer to drive this. Pass.
I like all the suggestions that don’t have Toyota or BMW logos. I guarantee that is the FIRST time those words have ever left my keyboard!
I love these (even the non-turbo ones) and I hope someone saves it. NP for that guy, and may god be with you.
I rent maybe 2-4 times a year these days, though it used to be a good bit more. I don’t recall many complaints. I recall one the smelled like cat piss.
I recall many, many years ago, attending a motorcycle event that leaned to the touring/sport touring crowd. This was in a town that depended heavily on tourism, and also hosted a Harley-Davidson-oriented event around the same time.
I suppose OEM+ could be a “trend,” although I’d argue that it is something that’s been done since the first time an OEM came out with better stuff than what was included last year or on a different model or trim.
Absolutely! If it’s noticeable enough to be labeled as a “trend,” it probably sucks donkey balls. I have never owned an entirely factory-spec vehicle in my life, but fuck all of these fads.
How fucking stupid does the SEC have to be to use Musk’s platform? Imagine Elon’s list of who he’d like to make look stupid. Is the SEC at the top of the list? How hard would it be for Muck to hack an account on a platform he owns?
