McNally blew it. He should have insisted that Corden apologize, in person, to the staff members who he insulted. Of course, he wouldn’t do that, in which case you’d be rid of him.

Overall, Tina Turner’s time in pop did expand the possibilities of the presentation of women’s sexuality...

Really. Jump through some hoops just to snag some carbonated prune soda?

I don’t drink soda. I don’t watch tv. I am vegan.

Oh, dad!

A few years back, a mid-level chop house would provide a steak that was better than the ones you could buy at the store. It was worth it. I don’t know about now. Heck, you can buy a Wagyu steak at Ralph’s now.

After a bad acceptance speech and a bad awards hosting performance, people were “filled with spite?” Also, the NYT, which just yesterday was kissing Margie The Greene’s ass, put out a hate piece on her? Get over yourselves.

Who ordered so many avocados? It’s not like they’re grown all over PA, they had to be shipped from CA or FL.

We have this. It’s called Starbucks. You can sit there for hours.

Such a disappointing reversal of the Cordon story. He should have apologized, in person, to the staff.

Cordon must have been an uber-asshole for McNally to not only 86 him but post it on Instagram, also. Admirable how he stood up for his people.

THAT is the headline of the day. Thanks for the laughs.

For a fun change of pace, I go to the Mexican market and get bags of assorted candy mixes. Different flavors and packaging that’s more fun. Also, I pick up some black plastic spider-shaped rings for them to wear.

This should be going down really well with Utah republicans.

I don’t think that their problem is comparisons to meat, it’s just that vegetarian food options are exploding all over the place. People are learning new things, often from ancient cooking traditions like Indian and Chinese cuisines.

So many crimes, not enough pardons.

Great writing, and so true. This is a job that is not a career, it relies on people who are willing to work hard for long enough to either move up or move out. The problems that are occurring with restaurant service can often be traced by the lack of people available and willing to do so. I’m talking about migrants

You don’t ever use the fast food drive thru but you want to post this? Okay, I don’t EAT fast food but I’m posting here. Touche.

Give that exhibitionist credit for finding a new way to attract attention—run for office.

Part of the experience, for me, is perusing the wine list, and asking the server or sommelier for advice. I’ve hardly ever seen someone try to push the most expensive stuff. They want you to be happy, they’ve done some work to make their list and they can figure out where you are, wine-wise, after a few questions.
