These look a helluva lot better than the spy shots, which made it look like a fucking Chevy. Here’s hoping this isn’t just an artist’s rendering and it actually looks decent.

I’m guessing the cold-weather performance is due to VW’s software: the e runs 0-60 in like 10 sec, vs. the i3 in 7+ despite both having Samsung SDI cells. I’m near California, so many of the eGolfs I see still have the “◊ Access OK” stickers on the back.
he’s already pivoted to blaming coronavirus on the libs
I struggle to understand VW’s Stateside strategy with the eGolf. They only brought limited numbers here and sold them in 13 states. Sales were still pretty strong in Europe as of the end of last year (3rd highest-selling EV) despite the ID writing on the wall. I’d venture a guess that VW’s perception of range anxiety…
Maybe it’s bros with muffler delete or aftermarket exhaust, but I don’t like how the Mustang and Camaro sound: there’s not enough low-end in the exhaust note. The Mopars seem to have done a good job, though.
Goddamn, Shane, you’ve really outdone yourself with this comment.
ben, my dude, that’s so great for you. it’s certainly not good for society at large.
Malice at the top, stupidity in the trenches.
Counterpoint: Replacing the three mounts on this Mini are $375 in parts per Pelican Parts. Even at 10 hours that’s equivalent to $110/hr.
People who act like toddlers are monsters. Full stop.
What we’ve done is essentially taken thousands of phone batteries and adapted them to a car chassis to move people. When put into that context, it doesn’t make a lot of sense.
I have an old muscle car with an LS3 in it, and for the life of me can’t believe how bad many of the new pony cars sound. Maybe it’s muffler delete (looking at you, Camaro boys) or aftermarket exhaust, but a good number sound like crap. Coy Mustangs are the worst, though maybe it’s because they’re a dime a dozen.
You nailed it! They just need to stick their own motor and batteries in a Lotus. I’d bet real money that this would be a rousing success and mark the start of a very real EV brand.
Looks like the Bronco will be going after Jeep Wrangler-type customers
Speaking from experience: I grew up in a heavily conservative rural area, and my dad has managed heavy truck service centers for as long as I can remember. If I’m in an EV, I’ll take my chance with truckers any day of the week over your typical light-duty pickup owner.
Great point... he’ll likely be able to make money on the vehicle if he goes west to east, and lose his shirt going east to west.
My favorite part of GP is when I buy a game on Switch for $20-30 and then it’s announced for GP a week later.
Most truckers I’ve interacted with don’t care what you drive as long as you’re not an asshat around them on the road.
I sold my Mazdaspeed6 when my boys were 3 and they still tell me I need another turbo car “so we can hear the wsssssshhhhh”. I didn’t think kids formulated memories that early.
due to the amount of crap modern
