All of that is a choice. People choose to live further out because they think they need a bigger or newer house, just like they think they need a new car. It’s all so they can show others how great their life is. Those people vote with their money, and any company would be silly not to take advantage.

Nah it was little more than a way for VW to dip their toes into the EV market. Their endgame has been the ID family for the last few years, which explains why they didn’t do anything to grow the eGolf. It’s still a good and fun car, but it could’ve been so much better with a little investment.

The eGolf is fully $10k below the M3 and $5k below the Bolt, and VW still have the full EV incentive. Plus it doesn’t look like a Bolt.
