Yeah $40 is a crime. I’ve hacked my Switch, so SD3 will be next on my retro backlog.
My dude, all things being equal, an electric powertrain is loads more fun than an engine, save the noise. That instant torque is addicting.
I just got to Yunkou (actually a little past - I just got the plane) and hot damn, their translation for the Chinese is straight-up xenophobic. I mean, I knew that Sino-Japanese relations weren’t ever good, but the backlash would be swift and severe if it were released like that today.
New car prices generally follow CPI, but they’ve risen sharply in recent years. Average new car costs over the past 3 decades have hovered around mid-high $20s in today’s dollars until a couple years ago. Average new car cost is mid-$30s now, which is a lot!
Yeah, “Blessing in disguise” it is not. The Doc knew he’d catch heat, but any publicity is good publicity. Look at Logan Paul after the suicide forest video for example.
My experience is that about half show little to no degradation, while about 5% are completely bad. A typical laptop battery will have one bad cell, which basically renders the entire pack useless for the laptop.
Corvette guys, on the other hand...
They are snake oil! I run with them in winter (with shorts), but otherwise like to wear as little as possible when working out (likely because I’m a sweater). Even then, I have to wear rundies underneath because I haven’t found a set of compression pants that fully conform to the underside and prevent chaffing.
This is a quick launch video I did last night. My GPS watch touched 29 mph on the ride.
I pull them out of used laptop or power tool packs, charge and test. I have a shop where I do all of this. It’s fully off-grid solar, powered by a 10kWh 48v ex-laptop pack.
The eGolf is plenty big inside, sporty, and most importantly doesn’t have awful styling. They’re also cheap on the used market.
My Juicebox has a reminder if ours isn’t plugged in by 8pm. It’s only happened twice, and once was because we didn’t push the charger in hard enough to fully seat it.
Maggie claims that it adds 120 hp and 130 lb-ft out of the box, which seems to be backed up by this Hot Rod article.
yeah but he threw his angel down a flight of stairs
Yeah, I’m definitely not a typical case... I build lithium batteries on the side, so the 500 Wh pack I built cost me $~25 plus maybe an hour of my time. The eBay controller was $50, and I got the scooter for free.
properly translated Terranigma
Yes, let’s install an electrical plug next to giant gas/diesel tanks. Can’t see anything going wrong with that.
And yet, for 95% of driving conditions, there’s no reason to own ICE.
