Scalia is a piece of shit and I'm not bothering to read his dissenting opinion because I don't care what the opinions of pieces of shit are. (Also I've heard that it's incredibly vitriolic and I'm not interested in that.)

Good luck finding one.

wow. sad.

I just tried to green arrow this comment.

This is constantly updating on my Google Sidebar - it tempts me everyday, taunting me... "click me...you know you want to..."

I know, but I can't, and I won't.

I seriously thought I was the only one who shamefully visited everyday. I browse it under the 'private' setting in my browser for that reason. I will accept it is not valuable reporting, but I cannot. stop.

Thank you for providing a forum for us to discuss this embarrassing addiction. I don't know if it's the sidebar, the cute British-isms or the lengthy coverage of Kate Middleton's clothes, but I am a daily visitor. Ugh!

It is THE BEST procrastination, because it's constantly updated. The comments section is also totally hilarious.

Oh god I am so glad I am not the only one with a DM problem. Its a problem!!!! Although I love their bi-monthly "DM Journalist Plays with Photoshop on the Stars" articles with the amazing headlines like: "What if X star was an alcoholic!" or "What your favourite stars look like when they are OLD"

I had to quit DM after awhile. I'm the same way — eagerly devouring all the celebrity conjecture. But what really turned my stomach and ruined my day were the stories about animal abuse (often complete with pictures). I couldn't do it. I started to hate people. Now, I spend a lot more time on Jezebel!

I know.

THEY UPDATE IT SO MUCH!! How am I supposed to stop checking?!?

It's like the worst kind of drivel reporting and I am in the exact same boat. I check it every morning. Also at night. Also sometimes during the day. And then I hate myself a little bit but I. CAN'T. STOP.

I, too, am a feminist woman who is often sucked into the "Femail" gossip story cycle. I'd like to say I only do it to red-arrow the fatphobes and MRAs who populate that site. But it's not true.

It's my guilty pleasure, too. I am an otherwise respectable person who does legal thinking for a living and who slogs through pages and pages of case law. I like to think of it as a treat, brain candy if you will, after having fed it with all that other stuff.

Is this news? Of course cable TV is effective birth control. I won't even let my husband talk to me during Game of Thrones.
