Gay man here. My opinion is if you are a straight person, are reasonably respectful, are there to have fun and not stare, and people there are rude to you, that that club fucking sucks and you should find a new gay club. :) Of course I am spoiled by where I live (New Orleans).

I understand the whole "safe space" thing

I've always heard people complaining about the number of straight girls in gay bars, but what frustrates me is the assumption that gay bars are a place for men exclusively, and that any girl present *must* be looking to gawk at the gay men or try and become their best friends...

Well, sluts only EVER talk about sex. Because that's all we know and we don't have brains!

Right? What do non-sluts talk about at brunch? "Last night was lovely, we went to dinner and uhm, that was it. Your turn"

How dare you utter Modern Family's name in the same breath as those other two.

LORD OF LIGHT! LORD OF LIGHT! YOU WILL BE KING! THE NIGHT IS LONG AND FULL OF TERRORS!

INcredibly beautiful, rich women aren't allowed to have problems too?

Honestly? Yes, because it just goes to show that even if you have what society deems the "perfect" body, with a tiny waist and amazing curves, you still can't find clothes, even from the designers who want you to wear their stuff so badly they're giving it to you for free. It goes to show that women can't win no

Yeah, you're right. If I rub in thoroughly, it's not noticeably ashy. I guess I need to start being less slapdash with my sunscreen application.

Kara just destroyed this post and pretty much needs to be crowned queen of Jezebel.

I live at the beach, and I've been putting sunscreen on my face everyday since I was a child. My mom's rule was no sunscreen=no sun, so it was practically law at our house. I've never had a single person who wasn't surprised when I told them my age. I think the determining factor is that most women who live near

Then there's diet and stress too. I stress out way too much which probably won't do me much good in the looks department long term, but I slather on sunscreen to try and delay the process. EVERYONE thinks I'm crazy, despite all the research. I have a skin tone not far off from Dita Von Teese in outdoor pictures

Just don't tan on purpose! I can't help but notice the effects of tanning beds showing up on my peers (they were huge when I was in high school) and I'm so glad I put up with the teasing (Why don't you get a tan? <- OH! YOU GOT ME!) because my skin looks pretty good. The kids in my A&P class think I'm their age, 20,

I am an indoor girl, but always slather on sunscreen because while UVB rays may not make it through glass, UVA rays do. They might not burn you, but they still do damage (that's why when I am preaching the gospel of sun protection to my nay saying friends, I describe it as UVA being the aging rays and UVB being the

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Vogue Italia gets these issues wrong all the time. They need a POC affairs consultant.

TRUTH. My sister in law was an esthetician and got me using sunscreen daily when I was 22. I'm now almost 45, and without fail, people express shock when I tell them my real age. I know that I look at least 5 -10 years younger than I am because of the daily sunscreen (also - hair dye! Also, immature behavior?) So

This woman laughs at your feeble attempts to stay young. Why use sunscreen when you can enjoy a nice, relaxing bath instead?

How dark was your friend's skin?

But watch out for the sunscreens that actually INCREASE the chances of skin cancer. Certain ingredients increase the risk of melanomas. Check out the Environmental Working Group' website:
