I wish to believe that "raise the bar" is literal and we're talking about suspension bondage.

Dunno, I think it's healthy to be flexible and open to trying new things. Maybe you don't like the idea of it but once you try it, it's actually kind of fun. You're right that it shouldn't be a negotiation point for quid-pro-quo such as "I'll try that if you stop fucking around."
When the bullying started for me, I was advised by my mother to "ignore them" and "walk away." Which my bullies loved, because, obviously their bullying was made even easier - I was such a pushover.
Oh my, you got called names and were stronger for it? Yay you! Glad you had a parent that gave a damn. So glad that you weren't being hurt everything single day. So glad that you weren't afraid to go to school as a 6 year old. Glad it helped you a "fuckton". Thank you for advancing the discourse on bullying with…
How does anyone think that that is an appropriate request to make of a business owner? "Great food, good atmosphere. Only complaint is that your female employees need to have more of their tits out. Can you find a way to work on that without getting sued for sexual harassment?"
My daughter's kindergarten teacher actively discourages tattling. I almost flipped my lid.
As someone who was bullied badly in highschool, despite being a large athletic male person, I can tell him that its never as simple as "growing a pair". Sure, we might want these bullied kids to stand up to their tormentors, but a lot of bullying is strictly mental, and that shit is very hard to get a handle on when…
The H and I did encourage our son to stick up for himself when he dealt with some verbal bullying this year...but it didn't help. Sticking up for yourself isn't a magic cure all. Shockingly, getting the teachers and admin involved DID fix it. Imagine that, zero tolerance working!
Yes, because getting kids to learn how to live with a dress code is, like, so stifling.
If you're not for it, why did you defend it? And why in follow up posts did you continue to defend it. You can't defend the law and in the same breath say you're not for it. Do you really not see why you were attacked? All of your comments are two-faced.
Why did you defend a law you think is dumb? Answer, you didn't think it was dumb until the people here listed numerous reasons why your thinking was short sighted and you backtracked.
Why is it the government's job to protect me from making my own fucking medical decisions?
Then you should feel free to do that if you ever get an abortion.
But not one of Jezebel's articles has shed any light on the situation. I have no issue with people being curious about what really went down in the elevator, but eleventy million think pieces about sister-related family dynamics and Beyonce's perfectionism are bringing you no closer to the truth.
Yes, and whenever Jezebel has to explain to us why something matters, I know the answer is "because we want to continue writing a million speculative and unnecessary posts about it."
does jez still worship her? shes not a good person at all.
Thank you! She's a master manipulator, she used to go on and on about her privacy until there were no hit singles for 4, then Tumblr pics overload! I dislike the worship, she's a great artist but she's not perfect, no one is. ::countdown till Beyonce sideeyeing gif is posted as a reply::
I find it quite telling that Solange and Jay Z got into fisticuffs, and yet all the stories seem to somehow revolve around Beyoncé.
I think it's pretty shitty of someone (famous or not) to just stand their while their sister assaults their husband. It's even shittier to continue this passive aggressive tirade on the internet. Is this not considered a form of domestic violence? Oh but it's ok since Beyonce is involved.
