Dam you got me.
Dam you got me.
America has a very high cost of living these days.
I can add 50 hp from my iPhone if I wanted to. Does that count?
In regards to the ICE one, you can buy a Lamborghini Huracan, take it to Underground racing who will give it over 1600hp (stage 1) with a 2 year warrantee, full interior, pass the OBD 2 smog and runs under 8 seconds. Unless you can customize an EV to that level, ICE reigns king. And you can do it for any price range…
My wife’s 2018 Lexus RX350 has every conceivable option including the fanciest of leathers and 20" wheels and voice activated navigation and does not have any kind of either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. As a matter of fact, I have never driven any car with either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. So I think it’s kind…
Came here to say this. Lane keep assist and forward collision mitigation for under $20,000? I’d say that’s damn impressive. 15 years ago you’d have to spend $100,000 to get those tech features.
I don’t know, I feel like that’s a lot of thing for the money. In the before times when the used car market was sane, you would be crazy not to shop a nice 2 year old car for the same money, but now It’s pretty compelling to buy new.
100%.
It’s been this way for a while now, but I still do a bit of a double take when I see how expensive Jeep Wranglers / Gladiators can get for a vehicles I’ve traditionally associated with basic, rugged, and utilitarian transportation. Outfitted with the diesel, the Gladiator is over $70k in Canada. That’s always been…
There’s no reason you couldn’t make a BEV Escalade, and the added cost of duplicating the experience with a battery would not be a deterrent to its target market. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Really
Really
Lolz, you think that people will start wanting smaller vehicles in a BEV future. That’s cute!
The Escalade has something the Lyric never will, and that is an ability to facilitate other parts of the luxury life. Towing horse trailers, pulling your $250,000 wake boat, etc. Most people are still into it for its presence but there are some people for whom the utility actually plays a factor.
If the new HUMMER has proven anything, it’s that a giant ass battery and 0-60 performace of a vehicle that weighs literally 6000 pounds less is a good recipe for strong sales, so the EV Escalade is gunna be just fine.
They just look so happy
Got to be the Citroen DS -1972 onwards
Citroen SM
That’s more or less how I feel about my e39 M5. It’s “soft” by todays standards, but I think it’s just right for a car that really embodies what “M” is all about, which is a performance car tailored for the street and everyday driving.
As a former BMW club instructor, I can attest that this car does just fine at track days. I considered buying one in 96 and balked at the notion of care and feeding for that motor. I ended up with an e36 sedan, then upgraded to an e36m sedan, which I still have today. If they had made a 4 door M2, I probably would…
