One of the upsides to EVs seems to be the relative ease in making a RWD car compared to making a RWD ICE car. There seems to be fewer cost, efficiency and packaging challenges in doing so. Hopefully this makes RWD cars more accessible to the entry-level market where currently most cars are transverse FWD.
