Full size trucks and SUVs make perfect sense in much of the country.
My first day of NC Miata ownership, a guy in a Ram almost drove into me in a grocery store parking lot. Still, that was the only incident in years. Don’t let your fears of what might happen keep you from enjoying life. Buy the Miata.
Yikes it’s as if there’s a competition at BMW to see who can design the ugliest car.
Can’t agree more with the “got to try them all “ comment.
“All of them.”
My vote goes to the 1st gen Prius:
Misunderstood as an idea, sure, but let’s not forget how massively unreliable these were and built like absolute garbage. They are certainly a future classic and while I’d love to own one, sourcing parts and having work done on them seems like a nightmare.
This whole thing has really soured my taste with Hyundai/Kia. I used to recommend them to anyone looking for decent, reliable transportation, but unless they fix this out of their own pockets I can’t see why I should continue even mentioning them in conversation.
I’m sorry, are you saying the US will get cars with Sony badges on them?!?!?!
I think Honda is using this as one big experiment, basically. It’s going to give them a chance to really figure out how to build EVs on their own without the worry of having to produce something in massive quantities and price it affordably. They’ll most likely trickle down things they’ve learned in this project to…
yeah theres definitely something to be said about a car you can enjoy at lower speeds. being able to drive it ‘the fun way’ without having to think twice about speeding tickets.
yeah, im gonna go with this take too.... a cheap, light, new (with warranty), 3-pedal car. something you can rev the shit outa, and go flat out around corners, with little to no repercussions. speeding tickets? not likely.
The BMW i3
I don’t own a truck and I don’t really want one, but everyone here CLEARLY doesn’t understand them.
From personal experience - and for not the usual reasons - I’m going with the Corvair.
See I have the same car on my list but for a different reason. There is something fun about a cheap ass car. It’s a throw back to the 1980s econoboxes, which were even crappier POSs in general. But a stick POS crapcan is actually a fun to drive vehicle, if nothing else because you will peg out a heart-rate monitor…
Any stick shift car in an American Valet Line.
