I feel like EV technology is at a good place, but my primary concern is that the rush to extract resources and build as many cars as quickly as possible is going to take a huge toll on an an already-strained environment.

I have never waited so patiently for something to be revealed over my entire life—a solid year for the Dodge muscle car EV to be unveiled and now here we are.

Everything about this is gloriously, idiotically, catastrophically American and I love it.

I use the three on my BMW religiously. And people have yelled at me at intersections for not signaling including family. Which tells me that people arent paying attention and dont see it when I use them. So BMW owners do use their turn signals you just dont pay attention to the road long enough to see it. Or we are a

Dang, I had intermittent wipers, but thought of another.

I missed this one! But my 3rd gen Mazda3 (and I’m sure other Mazdas of the same vintage... not sure about the newer ones) have an awesome feature where they flash the name of the cross street at the top of the infotainment screen. It’s unobtrusive so easy to ignore when not needed, but a godsend when Google Maps

And its perfectly fine not buying an EV!

No, a 2.0t (8v) from a 90s XM/Xantia/406/605/Eurovans and specifically in my case the Lancia Zeta minivan :)

It’s not the automotive industry’s choice to do it like this. EV development is being rushed through because of regulations made by lawmakers who don’t really have any clue what it takes to develop cars. I think if the auto industry had its way, it would transition more slowly with hybrids and PHEVs. And FWIW I’m all

I actually do remember what SV6 meant! It stood for “Sport V-6". You see, because if you sprung for the Pontiac version U Body, you would instantly feel the rush of that clunky 200HP mated with a 4sp auto!

I saw a Chevrolet Orlando in Orlando once (it had Canadian plates). There’s also the Isuzu Fargo that was sold as the Vauxhall MIDI or for export as the GME MIDI.

Yeah, I’m no Nissan fanboy, but I don’t get the hate for how VQs sound...

I live in a condo with street parking only. There’s no way I am going to be able to buy an EV— there’s no place to charge.

Oh god the Zafira, that was an unfortunate choice for a road trip across Spain. We managed to fit six people and luggage in that thing but it was very tight, especially for the unfortunate person who drew the short straw and got the third row. Fortunately I was one of 2 people on that trip that could drive stick so I

Okay, but what does that have to do with Europe??

Meanwhile in China

The program is paid for and developed independently by American Honda out of their own funds. Historically, Honda JP has handled (and has to approve) series outside of North America. Honda JP hasn’t seemed to care about endurance racing since the mid 90s, with all the appearances since then being either run by the

Because the USA take rate on mk7 was at 50% and VW North America used that as a justification to have the manual in the North American market asserting that without it they would lose sales.

It’s not just built off of one, it IS one. And is built in the same factory in Italy. I wouldn’t rule it out based on this but I would take a bit more of a wait and see attitude because of it.

I’m going with a very specific answer here in the MG Metro my best friend had back when were both 17 (a long time ago). The Austin A series four cylinder was never the best sounding engine, but he modified the car with a loud (Janspeed I think) exhaust. If you sat in the front of the car you were deafened by a
