The Peugeot 306 Rallye :

I rented a Chevy Malibu one year when my Caravan’s ECU lobotomized itself; the car was fantastically comfortable and roomy and got great mileage, but did you ever hear about them? Not at the time.

Who are these people that underrate the original 6er?

Yep, just with a different set of badges. They didn't bring the facelift over to North America however.

So it hasn’t left your driveway?...

Studebaker’s Hawk line from the 50's and 60's.

I remember these being more reliable than a 635CSi or an XJ-S. It could get you to the center of Oxford without its wipers packing up, too!

Name a car more famously unreliable.

I don’t know, but a 40 year old car that still regularly sells for $20k on BaT, I think the word is already out.

90's Isuzu Impulse AWD Turbo. Even when new most people didnt know this car existed, yet for the 90s it was a AWD Turbo with 160HP, comparable to the Preludes and Integras at the time but with AWD.

Yeah, the way auto journalists hated this but loved the Evoque version was sad.

I think the Cannibalization is an outcropping of just how distained the car was inspite portions of it being actually decent... Besides Ford had a better downsized Mustang called the Capri. No V8 but a number of folk did a 289 swap back in the day and in Europe the Capri WAS the Euro version of a Mustang going on to

Shelby CSX
