It seems like it is.

A Fiat well put together? 🤔

I read the introduction until the end and it was very good. Welcome to the weekends of Jalopnik!

The G-Class is far less crude than a Humvee. It is more like a Defender.

F-Pace is good, although I prefer the XE myself!

Disagree on the E-Class or the G-Class (non-AMG). The latter is quite possibly the ultimate go anywhere vehicle. Like a GTI but with off road manners.

He is. The QV engine is 3/4s of the Ferrari’s V8.

The original 1 Series was also a treat. A bit delicate at the limit perhaps, but one of the best handling (if not the best) cars I have ever driven.

Pretty much all my car purchases have been like this. Las time I cross-shopped an A-Class with a GT86, a 1/2-Series and a Giulia. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well I guess that’s the beautiful thing about Europe, we have plenty of choice when it come to small, cheap, fun cars. So much that you wouldn’t have to “settle for something”.

I remember it fondly, the clutch is heavy, the steering is heavy and the suspension is impossibly stiff. Yet it was one of the cars you could still drive with the pedals.

I am in Europe indeed and once was in the market for a fun little car (10 years ago or so).

A Mini Cooper or even a Swift Sport is much better than the Fiat.

Many. Clio, Polo, Fiesta, 208, Swift, Mazda 2, i20, etc.

They do. Tiny little runabouts which are light and fun.

These days traditional hot hatches have upwards of 250bhp, some even cresting over 300bhp.

This is not true, the Swift Sport Hybrid is quite new-school.

Dacia Sandero (except possibly for the EPAS).

Dacia Sandero (especially in base trims) is far more old school than those.

That drivetrain is far too modern and sophisticated…
