Agree although my point was that a car that seems more practical / is bigger isn’t always more spacious.
I do not have experience with those, but GLA v 1 Series, the BMW has a far larger boot and a bigger opening. Rear seat is more cramped and has worst access (but it is the 3 door).
Alfa Romeo does column-mounted paddles right.
The steering column-mounted large paddles used by Alfa Romeo save this purpose ideally.
I doubt an entry level Macan is the definition of fun.
The 63 is more powerful than the Macan Turbo. The 43 or 53 would be a closer rival if they make it (can’t be arsed to look it up).
No it doesn’t.
This. Cars with aural pleasure do not need to be obnoxiously loud. Just deepness, texture and music.
MPV can also potentially be more comfortable and better to drive. Although since practicality is usually their biggest asset they are not often set up for mountain passes.
They have to use the speakers for something...
Quite unprobable. The 911 makes money for itself.
Except for missing a pair of cylinders, the Golf is better in everything.
Funnily enough the Stelvio isn’t mentioned, even though it is the closest rival in terms of driving dynamics.
FCA-PSA merger may stop that, but you could still get some sort of Peugeot in Mopar form.
I would say those are the ones which will demand the most ICE, because it is the most similar to looking at their phones in the metro/bus/train/whatever
I remember when national touring car and rally championships were a (relevant) thing. Many factory teams / importers entered the series and they attracted big names.
My mother had a Renault 11 GTL when I was a little kid, which was a hand me down from my grandfather.
I don’t know about upscaleness, but certainly Hyundai-Kia are not the joke they used to be. They can easily compete (even beat sometimes) with Ford, Renault, Seat, etc. They also sell infinitely better than, say, Toyota.
I am sure the XE could be homologated into whatever regulations they are using in the BTCC right now. Although, as far as I know, BTCC hasn’t seen works teams for a long time now and it doesn’t have the relevance it had, say in the 90’s.
