1030kg? Those cars are going to be fat...

BMW probably demanded more money for that update and Toyota chose not to.

I am one of them! Well except for the not using them part, but still I am hero!

Because buying second hand is always best and people who buy new cars are idiots...

You’ll get them as Chryslers don’t worry.

So much this.

We don’t do small saloons, there’s Golf hatch / estate for that. Nobody buys a Jetta, I don’t even think it is offered here at all anymore.

Oh sorry if I wasn’t fully clear, I didn’t mean to imply it was a limited production car.

No. But the A3 saloon is closer.

Spain.

Best of luck! Looking forward how it lans out, from an European reader!

Family bought a couple of cars when they were so new that weren’t even in the market and they didn’t pay more than list price. In fact I don’t know of anybody that has done ever and I haven’t seen it reported for Europe either.

This is a curious way the US car market work. For us in Europe we never pay more than lost price and almost always you have a discount of some sort (I have always bought my cars under list price).

I got a scorching deal on an M140i and there were deals on the 2s as well (although not as good as on the 1).

3rd gear: time to score bargain small fast rear wheel drive cars!

It is amazing, isn’t it? These days you can even buy hot hatches that are faster than early 21st century Porsche Turbos...

Great article. Excellent photographs too, they capture the thrill and magic of making a supercar.

When driving a manual in the motorway in sixth, cruising at 80mph and you want to overtake someone. Instead of downshifting you just put your foot hard down. Then it matters.

That just tells you (sadly) why turbo engines are so much more performing than normally aspirated ones.

I would like to add to that, very thorough analysis, that we tend to spend relatively more on small cars which suit better our roads.
