At European speeds I get 30mpg in my diesel hatchback...

Well played.

It is not necessarily more power, but the engine from the Levorg would probably completely transform the car. I would buy it, despite being 30bhp down on power.

The reason why you recommend your Camry over the Stinger (where do you actually spend your driving hours) is the reason why I went from a sportscar to a diesel hatchback and why I will probably never go back to a sportscar again... 🙁

How much do 8Cs go for these days?

I don’t know about this particular case, but if you are interested in driving there is still a difference, albeit a small one.

I think that this is something that happens on modern Smarts (at least the turbo models). You press the throttle relatively little and you get a “big” power surge. But if you mash the throttle there is only so much 90bhp can do...

The MX-5 RF... damn that looks good. Almost makes want to make the same mistake again.

No harm done. 🙂

Wow wow wow, don’t put words in my mouth I didn’t say (write).

I could buy it and I wouldn’t (because I can’t afford it).

Just for the record, as long as I can remember there a GM cas never been in the family.

Man maths put me in an automatic, and a bad one at that. So I work with what I have.

Then they must be perfect, because back then they were perfectly fine. The 11 for instance ran reliably for over 200,000km.

Ah yes...

I only have P-R-N-D & +/- so it’s manual or nothing. You can put it into dynamic but this makes the programming more idiotic than usual.

Especially if you are going to trundle along at 60mph. At 60 your Nurburgring-grade suspension is useless. It also makes your car stupidly uncomfortable.

In the same way that there is nothing wrong with Italian build quality.

I use manual control on my auto for more engine braking in twisty country roads or when I want quick acceleration but not revving the engine too much.

The thing is though, they do not sporty to drive. They want the ilusion of sportiness and handling which is not the same.
