Was not the point of my initial statement. It was a comment directed at styling, i.e. people find hatchbacks unattractive, so they go and buy fat, jacked up hatchbacks with a different name.

Neat. Now how about a Mazdaspeed version with 200 horsepower and a turbo? We can't let its former platform-mate the Fiesta ST have all the fun, right?
I'd bet the percentage of people who need and/or use the size and capability of them is less than 20%, and that's being generous.
Thankfully, the CUVs they're buying are basically small wagons or hatchbacks.
The slightly longer wheelbase of the ForFour would make that RR format a hoot.
That "actual mileage will vary..." disclaimer is pretty spot on.
2014 Nissan 370Z is listed as 18/26 with the 6 speed manual, and I consistently average 20mpg, but then again mileage was never its selling point.
...and the Turbo models weren't even mentioned!

Yeah, what are you hiding? Some dirty secret about buying a car in the past?
If Toyota shoots for the GTR level you're looking at a car built to be sold at a "bargain" $70k only to balloon into $100k territory in a decade or less.
So what's it going to cost? FR-S with a N/A 4cyl and 200hp costs $30,000. A $50k Toyota? CP
Perfect +1
Should've called this the "little dick" train
Rearview cameras are federally mandated safety items for 2015.
Counterpoint: Even a 2015 Honda Civic will get destroyed by a 2015 Chevy Yukon. NHTSA's crash ratings are only valid in equally-classed vehicles. There are a number of studies on the idea of "mis-matched" or "under-ride" accidents, and one such paper from the Government Accountability Office from 2005 in an oversight…
I recently let a clean, stock, optioned out S13 coupe slip through my fingers for a great price because the timing wasn't right to buy a car, and I know I will be kicking myself forever.
It should be noted the NdGT is not arguing that higher speeds were impossible, but instead explaining where his calculation came from. If you watched Cosmos you would have heard him express that Science is nothing without those questioning it, so I am sure he loved the responses he's gotten. Those of you who are…
Late last night it was revealed that the 2016 Mazda Miata will first be seen on September 3rd. Mazda also posted this little driving video, and there is the distinct sound of forced induction. That's right folks, the 2016 Miata will be going turbo.
Unmolested 240SX's. They've already been on the rise since the drifting crowd found them, and bone stock ones will only appreciate as the years go one. Especially the hatchback, sport, SuperHICAS rear-steer models with the LSD.
