Next time you're back in TN I'll let you review my sport package, 6spd coupe. It costs $20k less than that roadster, and the gearing on the 6MT has such a different personality from the 7AT that I think your two big concerns will be alleviated.

You would be correct. Definitely misread that.
The woman was already paralyzed. Part of the issue seems to be she didn't have feeling in her legs to begin with and perhaps didn't realized she'd been cooking?

So your version would be..."The exhaust sounds like that because it gives me a boner," you say, sounding like the biggest creep in the world. "No matter what speed we're going," as you adjust your skinny-jeans awkwardly.
I'll be sure to remind those owners, as well as the group of Gallardos who show up to rev their engines and drive too fast through parking lots.
By cheap do you mean over $35k?
Half of that value has to be the domain name alone, right?
That was a great point to catch. Very likely why he judged the Ford to be the fastest up the hill. Nice one.
"Some of this appeal stems from an underlying belief that rewarding athletic prowess with money reflects a reality about America's values that we wish were not true."
Speaks volumes about this issue. Great piece!
Again, blame regulations from the 2nd half of the 20th century
It's not a matter of the "option" but rather the regulation that they are trying to abide by while being able to offer the LCD built into the mirror. They didn't "ruin" anything. They are prototyping with the best available technology (mirrors that can function as screens at that resolution).
It should excite you because engineering can be awesome. Equate this to how a helicopter is "breaking" physics except it's an SUV blistering a race course.
It should be noted that VW cars will continue under the VW badge. Unless you like inspecting OEM dealer parts for their labels you would never know the difference what the larger automotive body was called. Kind of like how nobody noticed "Old GM" was General Motors Corporation and changed to General Motors Company…
If only we didn't live in such a litigious state, we might be able to have nice things like this on our TV screens.
Would you not agree reducing the population of cars on the road, via a mass-transit option, would also help reduce congestion, pollution, accidents and the "human effect" much more efficiently? Autonomous cars is like designing a Rube-Goldberg machine to churn butter and then apply to toast, forgetting we could have…
Laberteaux also glazes over the fact that widespread autonomous vehicle adoption would reduce congestion with dedicated lanes and road trains making better use of our overtaxed infrastructure, not to mention increasing fuel economy since broad swaths of the population won't be idling in cars for hours on end.
Volvo S60R, buy it now for $7k. Spend the remaining $3k on sticky tires and a good oil change. AWD, 6speed, 300hp, and nobody but the sharpest gearhead would be able to pick it out of a lineup.

Millikin was not among those 15 people fired as a result of the ignition switch debacle, and Barra has said everyone who needed to be fired or disciplined already has been. Today she defended him as a man of "tremendous integrity" whose subordinates failed him.
A 10mm wrench. Every car in existence needs one, also common size for battery leads. Also I think you could put together an entire 1984 Volkswagen Golf with one.
