I have to agree with this. Given how much softer Aluminum can be, tossing loads of junk into the bed could prove problematic. Then again, there's always Rhino-liners.

I am more likely to keep such things to myself, rather than clutter a popular blog about cars with blithering nonsense.
My experiences are with the E30 3-series, E34 5-series and E46 3-series. The latter is my current daily. Very easy to work on. As a general rule of thumb I say stick with their inline 6's if possible.
Touche, I just have a hard time believing you actually feel as strongly as your rants are pointless.
I'd argue that the speed of those sports comes down to the human's technique and control, and not the build quality of the sled.
$2k/year is more precautionary than mandatory. It all comes down to maintenance history, honestly.
For being so easily irked by improper word usage, it's a wonder you can stand working for Jalopnik at all.
Sounds as if you and I are on the same page.
Most people can't wrap their heads around the fact that they're getting German engineering at Hyundai prices. When Volkswagen gadgets break (because they're cheap), people freak. When Hyundai gizmos are out of wack (because they're cheap), nobody blinks an eye.
Agreed. Ford-Martin Fusion for the win!
Damn, and here I thought they were the last bastion of hope in cheap standalone niche market greatness. At least Fiat's a good parent company to consider. They seem to still sew a bit of old-fashioned automotive passion into their cars, much akin to Mazda's history.
4-Way stops are ridiculous and unnecessary to begin with. While I don't condone running it like these people are, there is no need for such an intersection. Highest traffic routes should have right of way, and the other 2 should have stops.
Kind of a cheap jab considering every single car in that video did the same thing.
<3 +1
Do they though? I'm not well-versed in their financial status, but it seems to me they've made great strides in being reliable, cheap and fun all at the same time without any huge assistance. I have the idea in my head that if they became as large as Hyundai, per se, they would slowly slip into the dull, beige…
As much as I love Elon Musk and his business ventures, a 79% increase in losses and an order of over 4,000 cars to make by the end of the year does not bode well for him. If Tesla ever posts profits I would be amazed, however the future looks bleak for the longevity of this company.
Ha! Midgitlers.
Truth here. I don't think I've ever seen a WRX win an Autocross ever.
