That’s... great. Gal Gadot is a beacon of light in this film, and Kristen Wiig is really great, but the rest of the film is just weighted down by absolutely baffling storytelling decisions, hot shit CGI, ridiculous editing (that opening mall scene was absolutely awful, with strange angles, quick cuts, and weird

That’s a really cool thing to say, don’t cut yourself on all that edge now.

FWIW, it’s starting to look like you are trying too hard to overlook some obvious shortcomings.  lol

You mean by pointing out a clear example of the poor writing that a lot of people point out as a main flaw of the film? Thats not trying hard to dislike a film, it strikes me as a pretty standard takeaway.

I don’t wish to negate your enjoyment of the film. I’m happy that you found so much to love in it. But to your specific point of “I think folk are trying too hard to not like the movie”; I really enjoyed WW1 and was dying to see the sequel. We had Xmas dinner and I made it clear to my wife and our 2 friends that at

I actually thought the actor playing Max was the highlight of the entire film. Kirk and Max absolutely carried that movie and are one of the few redeeming qualities about it.

“It ends!”

I’ll never trust any of this mans reviews. This movie was a hot loooooong mess with extremely questionable choices. I can’t believe the trailer was better than the movie. It had so much potential, you can see glimpses of it when you watch but I swear there must have been some backstage drama. That’s the only way this

Wonder Woman 1984 is unique in that it’s a standalone film without the burden of all the other DCEU films weighing it down, and yet it still manages to be a muddied, difficult to understand mess.

Well now I’m picturing an alligator dressed as Wonder Woman.

I was honestly stupid underwhelmed by it considering how much I liked the first one. It was too bad because I was really excited for it to be set in the 80s. Massive amount of drops there.

I’ve been a big dual console gamer for a long time. At the same time, I had the PS1 and the N64, PS2 and Xbox, PS3 and Xbox 360. But I never bought the PS4, despite wanting to. At first it was because I only had the money for one of them at the time and I was more heavily invested in Microsoft’s games than Sony’s, so

No Man’s sky was nothing like this. That was people (rightly and wrongly) feeling like the game was missing things they thought would be in it. Sony’s certification isn’t responsible for making sure people like the game.

Maybe they should have pulled those games. Maybe if these digital storefronts stop carrying broken games it would give publishers incentive to not release broken games. CDPR doesn’t care about you dude, you gain nothing by defending them.

Can’t wait to see this, fall in love, and then have SyFy cancel it.

As an aside, it appears that one of the developers snuck in a right wing dogwhistle into the game...

I’m all for that really. The idea that the outer rim is mainly destroyed no matter who is in control is an important one. It leans into the negatives of manifest destiny as an idea .

I like the alterations made to his design as well. You get an idea that Boba  has incorporated some stuff that he’s been wearing for a bit on Tatooine. It’s probably meant to hide to show the actor’s physique a bit but it works. Like right now that armor looks way better fitting.

She discovers a land they name Americos and starts a 600 year long campaign of colonization and genocide.

The scene where Mando and Mayfeld enter the base amid cheers and “atta boys” reactions was an appropriately nasty bit. Between that and Brake’s monologue, there was a bit of tapping into that Last Jedi vein throughout.
