I agree. I’ve learned so much from watching matches and have no problem following what’s happening these days. Hell, I’ve watched it with my parents and they more or less understand the basic win conditions.

Oh for sure, it remains to be seen how sustainable it is. I was genuinely shocked by the fact that they grew that fast this year. I mean look at how bad the AAF cratered this year in it’s attempt to be more football. They couldn’t even complete their inaugural season before folding.
Ooh I am too and we get some of that in the Pass Area. I really need someone to explain to me the recent explosion in light bars on trucks, too. It seems too prevalent to not be somehow symbolic.
I gotta say, I feel like you’re giving OWL’s attendance figures short shrift. Yes, weekday attendance sucks but you try getting to Burbank during rush hour on a Thursday or Friday. It’s hell.
I suspect esports will do what regular sports does all the time, tweak the rules and overall parameters to keep things fresh and interesting. One thing OWL has done this year that I think will pay dividends is taking more time between stages and having fewer matches every Thurs to Sun across the season. It’s only been…
Username checks out.
I laughed way too hard at this. Especially since you nail the condescending tone that's accompanied these comments since Sunday night.
Yeah that hasn’t been much of an issue here although he was a little careless on the throw that started the trouble in the 3rd tonight.
True, but I guarantee if he went to the Padres or Dbacks, national attention would have fizzled. He'd likely still be someone you'd heard of, but I don't think he'd have the same national profile had he landed outside of maybe 5 to 6 teams.
Agree on Harper. If he plays for Milwaukee or Seattle, he's likely a nobody. Dude hit the lottery getting drafted by the Nats when they were shiny and new in DC.
Machado has at least brought elite defense to the Padres while giving them a lot of swagger and enabling Hosmer to have a bit of a rebound season offensively. I wish his OPS would be a bit higher but I have zero buyer's remorse as a long-suffering Padres fan. And I expect they'll go after Keuchel hard once the amateur…
It amazes me how few people remember her chaining up her dragons. I think that whole story arc took up more show time than it's taken her to go straight into caricature territory.
I find myself asking this question of most of the plot points coming into this season, since it's now clear the writers don't give a shit.
One of the really fun things this season is that with 20 teams in the league, you get a better variety of approaches and strategies. For most of 2019, the triple tank/triple support meta has dominated. And yet, teams are finding some creative ways to build comps and counter. And some teams like Chengdu just seem to…
I loved it for its hack-and-slash sensibilities, with Force powers subbing in for magic. It was a nice change of pace from a lot of the other FPS-oriented SW games.
Man I loved this game. Plus, you could play as Ploo Koon!
I’m not really sure how crying at the emotional parts of a movie involving characters over 10+ years and 21 movies is something to be ashamed of, but sure. I
You sound fun.
Ducks fan here. I enjoyed Freddy but he was prone to getting absolutely torched in Game 7s, typically giving up a few stoppable shots.
As a Padre fan, I will forever love that kid. Too bad Sandy Alderson broke him.
