Yeah, I know a female Augusta who goes by Gussie, because....that’s better?

I really like your theory, but I think it’s being too generous to the writers. We have no reason to believe that LF is listening in on that conversation, and to me, it felt like the writers trying to stunt on the audience for a “shocking” twist that was in reality, lazy writing.
My brother is 5'8 and he loves Kit Harington because “Jon Snow makes being 5'8 cool.”
The story she shared about the woman on the plane is really sweet, but I feel like she missed the point. Its not about the crystal itself, it was about the small act of human kindness. That woman probably could’ve given her a piece of gum and she would have felt the same way, because it was about the intention behind…
The only way for us to make women running for high office normal is to continue running women for high office.
One of my friends was started on pointe at 7 and by 14 had a permanent knee injury that meant she could never dance again, and she was doing things like ABT summer programs. I just can’t even imagine people doing that to a child - her parents didn’t know enough about ballet to know that was dangerous, and her…
Multilingual Penelope Cruz style hottie who teaches special needs kids. I mean, come on.
So I’ve known for years that GOT was based on The War of the Roses, and I also know that history pretty well and it literally just occurred to me that maybe this storyline is like the rumor that Elizabeth of York was banging her uncle Richard III before he died?
That’s just a weird kinja bug that happens sometimes.
So, Kinja does some kind of sorting between most stars and also based on the time a comment was posted. I’ve been on Kinja for years and still can’t totally figure it out. I really wish it had a newest, oldest, most liked, etc. filter.
David Frum has been putting out some great pieces too.
Yes, because I already replied to you, so I brought you out of the grays for this particular comment thread. Kinja is real cliquey.
Yeah, that’s another one of Kinja’s typical bugs - another is where you star a post and the number of stars is reduced by one. These have been Kinja problems for at least a year a far as I can remember (probably longer than that) and they’ve never been solved.
As far as I can tell so far...no. Which makes AVC almost functionally pointless.
Yeah, that magnifying glass seems useless. I typed in “fringe” as I was contemplating a rewatch and somehow ended up with a page of useless nonsense, including a review of Robert Pattinson’s new movie. Cause that’s definitely what I was looking for. And I’m a veteran Kinja user!
That’s just a super fun Kinja bug that happens on occasion. No one knows why and apparently no one’s ever bothered to fix it.
Also, I’m hoping the influx of very disgruntled AV Clubbers (myself included) will force them to actually improve Kinja. I mean, an AVC’er actually created a Chrome extension to nest Kinja comments in a readable fashion like Disqus does. I mean, good lord, this is someone who did that for free...why can’t they get…
I decided not even to bother after trying because merging Disqus doesn’t work with an existing Kinja account, so I’d basically be logging in and out of Kinja accounts all the time switching between Giz sites and AVC and that is just NOT WORHT IT.
Hey, AVClub...how in the hell are we supposed to search for reviews of TV and movies, especially older shows? For example, I typed “Fringe” into the AVC searchbar and one of my top results was about Robert Pattinson’s new movie. Um....
GD infinite scrolling...I ended up posting this comment on the wrong damn post. FUCK YOU KINJA
