Is is wrong that my one thought during the entirety of reading the article is: how does it compare to the Honda Ridgeline? Ridgeline is hardly an offroader, but it’s features perfectly suit how I would actually use a truck.

I'll bet the number one reason is cost. It's likely so much cheaper in materials, design, and production time to slap the window on with industrial glue (or whatever) than engineer a movable pane.

Unfortunately the Jeep in long gone.  Not big enough for kids in car seats and their friends / cousins.  Not much use for an inclinometer in a GMC Acadia.  

The inclinometer was my wife’s favorite part of her Raider.  She was sorely disappointed our Jeep didn’t have one.
