It never occurred to me that the temp display would be connected to the engine intake temp sensor. Makes sense. That would explain why the temp display for my wife’s Pilot changes a lot after start up. On startup the display can read 10-15 degrees off, then fairly quickly change as the intake air hits the sensor. If

Great use of that feature!

In high school through college I had a Taurus with the key pad. Loved the feature since unlocking fobs weren’t a thing yet. One day after working a closing shift at McD’s I came out and found my then ex-girlfriend sitting my car. It was kinda creepy. I hadn’t thought to change the code after we broke up.  Moral: don’t

My son’s daily driver is a 66 Mustang. It has a 5.0 from a Fox body. It’s covered in the garage for now while he’s at college, but he drove it every day his senior year of high school. There was a lot of stuff done poorly by the former owner that we’ve sorted out together.

Yesterday my wife was behind a Model 3 with a sticker that said “I like my Tesla, not Elon Musk”, or something similar.  Kinda sucks that normal people that wanted an electric car for whatever reason now have to deal with this guy’s shit.

Radio volume and tuning controls on my 2012 Maxima should be flipped. It has a ton of physical controls, thank goodness. The radio volume knob is on the left side of the center console; the tuning knob is on the right. The volume is very easy to reach while driving and I can rest my arm on the gear selector. But: it’s

Unfortunately I have T-Mobile service. It’s very good, and price competitive. I was with Verizon/Bell Atlantic Mobile for nearly 30 years, but got fed up with their high prices and increasingly terrible service.

Many of my boating friends that travel the ICW are getting Starlink, but I just can’t do it because of

Same.  Likewise, I have no interest in the Starlink internet service.

I dunno if it’s a legit argument.  Was just a guess.

It’s $9, and don’t think anyone likes having to pay more for travel. I wasn’t complaining, I said I didn’t really like it. When you also have to pay for parking, and the toll to get into the city it all adds up. My wife works in the city and has to take a cab to her office after using the LIRR (its NOT optional).

I live on Long Island about 60 miles from Manhattan. I don’t particularly like the congestion pricing since I have to take a family member into the zone for medical appointments a few times a year. But since it went into effect I’ve noticed morning rush-hour traffic is substantially lower. We’ll have to see if that

Perhaps impeding interstate commerce?

I’ve lived on Long Island for 25 years. That voice is horrible.  The vast majority of people do NOT sound like that.

Video says their goal is 200 ft above the highest vegetation, and they want the water to land as a rain, not slam into the ground.

I recently rented a Malibu on a trip - I know, it’s cliche. But I was quite pleasantly surprised at the comfort and very good driving manners. It actually made me rethink a bout buying one, as one of the last available sedans. It was head and shoulders better than the Jetta a rented a week later.

I sat in a GT-R in a showroom a while back. It was extremely tight and gave me an overwhelming feeling of claustrophobia. I was quite disappointed.

At this point, what can’t the Cybertruck do (except be built at a meaningful scale)?

Apple Car Play. It’s just annoying. A plain USB of Bluetooth connection for music is fine. Trying to use Waze on Car Play is horrible, it drips out most of the functions.

Vented seats are mediocre. They just blow ambient air, like in my wife’s Honda.

Completely agree with this assessment.
