I guess that’s the difference. In the US, it’s universally illegal to pass a school bus that has it’s red lights activated. I can’t tell from the video of if that green bus is a school bus or a regular bus.

That’s why, in my area anyway, kids are told to cross in front of the school bus. The drivers wait until they have crossed the road and are safe before pulling away.

The real motive: The military is replacing the HMMVW with a new vehicle spec - the JLTV. And Oshkosh won the JLTV design competition so AM General has to find a new source of revenue.

This completely validates my decision not to upgrade from iOS 10 until the bugs are worked out in iOS 11.

I spent four years in rural Pennsylvania. There was not much I found to be “great” about it.

To all the people who are annoyed by such things:

Gorgeous but a bitch if you need parts. A friend has a current version Alpina B6. Someone crashed into it, and it took 5 months to get a replacement hood from Germany.

What is the most appropriate beer to drink while watching an F1 race in Texas?

This might make NASCAR actually interesting.

Neutral: My last time I went to a dealer I traded in a 2009 Maxima and left with a 2012 Maxima. I’m still happy about it.

The CVT isn’t nearly so bad when pared to a reasonably powerful engine, and actually works great if your commute is mostly heavy traffic rather than twisty roads.

Without a bit of irony, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the CVT on both my 2009 and 2012 Maximas. It’s been a very good transmission.

Ford had you covered in the 80's for keyless entry. I had an ‘87 Taurus with an external keypad. Locked my keys in it all the time when I went mountain biking.

2009 Craftsman 24" snow thrower with a 179cc engine. It’s getting a new carburetor, belts, and a tune up to fix a problem with engine surging.

That’s creepy for sure.

This thing looks like a hearse for the living. Suitable only for the spiritually dead.

Just look at the poor thing; it deserves a second chance!

My folks had 2 Troopers of the generation before this one, when they were even more boxy. I learned to drive stick in it and loved it. The seat was so tall the shifter felt like it was 3 feet long.

Right. I’ll just go tell my 74 year old widowed mom to hell with arthritis, get out there to mow the lawn and shovel snow.

I’m on board with that. I like Phil Collins. My son has been rifling through a trove of 80's tunes on my phone. In heavy rotation on his playlist: Genesis, Van Halen, and Peter Gabriel. Good tunes.
