It’s her car, and we make about the same salary so she gets to pick. Plus that way I get to pick my car. She doesn’t like my Maxima, but it doesn’t much matter because I love it. If there were some major issue in terms of reliability I could nix her choice, but on style she gets to pick.

I went to spring training this year and got one of these as a rental for 6 people. I have no idea what trim it was, but can confirm the Pacifica is a pretty good minivan and MUCH better than a Town and Country van. Comfortable, spacious, drives pretty well. The shift knob does indeed take some getting used to -

If Chevy has evidence that the ads are working and their sales are good, you can’t blame them for sticking with it.

Yeah, I hate that change.

My inlaws had 2 Villagers, which they LOVED and still miss. The 2nd one they sold to my father-inlaw’s company with 250,000 miles on it, to move parts between 2 parts production buildings. It only died when a couple knuckle heads overloaded it with about 2500 lbs of brass bar and blew up the engine going up a large

Eeew.

That is a beautiful sight to behold.

I drove a PT Cruiser from Omaha to Sioux City and back. Being in that car for about 6 hours total cost me 2 days worth of my soul because it was so, so terrible. I initially thought it wasn’t going to be so bad, but soon learned the PT Cruiser is the dementor of cars.

Were the ducks trying to get to a lemonade stand?

To avoid or not also depends somewhat on vehicle size. Squirrel vs. car: Squish. But squirrels are enemies of bike riders and need to be avoided because of their proclivity for suicide missions. Buggers can’t see the spokes and try to run through the wheel.

I guess all David needed was...some time.

Sign me up as highly interested. With a 118" wheelbase, it’s very close to my current 2011 Acadia. A mini-van is not an option for me and the new Acadia is too small.

That huge amount of flying glass is horrifying. It’s only tempered by the fact that it’s safety glass vs large shards.

Right-o. Technically, I think the Brits would say Pee-YOU-ma. Kind of like Jag-YOU-waar.

Me thinks Mr. Rock’s Puma comment is a reference to athletic footwear.

I’ll bet the regularly recurring repair bills will look pretty rad, too.

My father-in-law had one of these for well over 10 years and LOVED it. After rolling into the Infiniti dealership with his hugely troublesome, oil-leaking Audi, his G20 was nearly trouble-free.

Those wagons were HUGE on the inside, the the second row was higher than the first so it was like stadium seating. My dad had a thing for those Peugeot 505's despite their lousy repair record. He bought 4 of them.

This saddens me, particularly because I have convinced my children that my wife and I met at a Monster Jam when I was a driver for Grave Digger.

Nice tender. Where’s the yacht?
