Bullshit. When Robert Downey Jr and Tom Holland improv entire scenes as Iron Man and Spider-Man, they are considered sooper-geniuses.

This girl does it and she’s mocked by the mediocre.

I think Emma Watson also suffered from the Mary Sue-ificiation of Hermione in the movie series. In the Harry Potter books, Hermione is much more complex, and capable of almost sociopathic acts of cruelty. The movie made me into the much less complex “brains of the operation,” almost always better than Harry and Ron at

The Perks Of Being A Little Wizard Woman

My thoughts exactly. What made SNL great in the old days was that they weren’t afraid to be silly. It’s a comedy show! The impressions don’t have to be spot on—the focus needs to be on funny characters, not making impressions of decidedly not funny real people funny.

I know she is a favorite fan on here, but Sarah Sherman is more miss than hit with me. I appreciate the risk taking but some of her stuff is just off-putting. Being a sharp contrast to something that isn’t particularly good doesn’t automatically mean good.

Iñárritu will have to direct him as the Ghost of Tony Stark so everyone comes full circle.

The Last Jedi is the only one that has any sort of interesting tail, which is the mark of a solid “film.” The other star wars in the previous trilogies all had something to discuss and TLJ is the only that lives up to that.

Yep, My brother-in-law use to scare his son by saying a Djinn lived in the attic. They are the boogeyman for a lot of Muslim houses.

It literally says in the show that they’re pre-Islamic and that they’re not always evil, just that they were a big part of her childhood boogieman style stories. The author of this article didn’t just miss subtext, they missed big flashing text.

This is a pretty good indictment of the Blogging Industrial Complex to me. Bloggers just re-report the same news and instead of going to the primary source, they cite the outlet that they happened to get it from. But the whole thing is like a game of telephone as bloggers have to change enough words to make it their

Another fucking bad take from Hughes, add it to the mountain pile.

Interesting take! Y0

Man, Seth Rogen really leaned into the least important part of Preacher’s source (Ennis’ penchant for violent, hyperbolic dark humor).

Yeah honestly I just find myself not caring about the Eternals, but can’t wait for MoM and Guardians 3

I don’t think Sam was weirded out by the renaming. I think Sam was weirded out by ‘this is obviously a cult and they clearly have it out for me’.

Yep, I freaked out for a second about John C. Reilly dying.

He’s more like a guy who learned all the wrong lessons from his breakthrough film.  Like if Tarantino decided that from now on, none of his scenes would be in chronological order.

He’s never Chalamet a role he could say “no” to.

Am I wrong, or is Regina King implying that black american actors were too lazy to put in the work for this film? And that’s why she cast a british guy.

Yeah, after harriet tubman, and erivo’s comments, and not this, I’m going to cool it on british actors playing black americans.
